Fun bowling

We bowled in Slider Alley, a disco themed room with great music and the corresponding music videos playing on screens, along with videos on other screens displaying things from world records to cute animals. So to say the place was cool was an understatement. It was a interesting, interactive, and fun place.

If the arcade was run like the bowling side it would have been 5 stars. The ladies on the bowling side were amazing and super friendly. The food was great and the young ladies were constantly checking on us. It all goes downhill when you go upstairs to the arcade. I’m not sure why they convert dollars to Big Al coins then use a fraction system for cost per game. Actually I do know why, it’s all for confusion and you don’t know what you’re spending. The young man in the ticket/prize room needs a lesson on customer service, it’s ok to smile and interact with people. We had to change prizes multiple times due to him stating “ that item is priced incorrectly “ guess what….fix the damn price. I watched kids try and give two soften cards for tickets and he stated “ you can’t combine cards” never saw where that was listed anywhere. You have definitely lost a customer for good. I will spend money at King Pins from now on. You’re business model is a joke.

Love the margarita mondays! Good bowling lanes that are well-maintained and rarely need a service call

Love bowling here! Happy hour foods are awesome and cheap! The arcade has so many games available including the guitar hero!

We had a great time. Got a lane right when we got there as walk-ins. The food was good and the music made the vibe. We will be returning.

Grandkids love the summer pass program which allows for 5 arcade games and or 2 games of bowling M-F. Big Al's has bars, food, bowling and arcade games. It is a family funhouse. Staff seem to be good and the facility is kept real clean.

We visited Big Ale yesterday and had a great time! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming — definitely a fun place to hang out with friends or family.

The food had its highlights: the broccoli was absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We were also pleasantly surprised by the pizza; it looked and tasted fantastic!

The only downside was the onion rings, which were a bit too oily for our taste, but overall, the experience was still very enjoyable.

If you're looking for a casual spot with good vibes and some tasty surprises on the menu, Big Ale is worth a visit.

Came to bowl, stayed for the nachos. Big Al’s has great lanes, solid food, and just the right amount of chaos. Easily one of the most fun spots in Beaverton

Music was incredibly loud in the upstairs video game area. We asked if they could turn it down a bit so we weren't blasting our 4 year old's ears, and they said they had to ask a manager. Don't think they ever turned it down. Seems like they have it playing loud enough to hear it on the 1st floor, but if you're near a speaker on the second floor you're only a couple feet from a speaker. It was a good volume for when we were sitting in the dining area on the first floor...

I’ve been coming here since the place first opened when I was 7-8ish. My long distance gf was visiting this week and I was really excited to show her such an important childhood staple after having not visited since moving to a different part of the Portland area a couple years back. However, I didn’t have the greatest experience. For some reason, they aren’t taking cash now, which is especially stupid from a business standpoint when you remember that arcades are geared towards kids and a lot of them are spending pocket money; they don’t have credit/debit cards to charge. There’s also just significantly fewer arcade games than I remember there being. I get wanting to keep things modern and replacing old games can cost a bit but it felt like there were very few games designed to actually play for tickets, it’s mostly coin pushers, claw machines and first person shooter things. I will say, the ratio of how many tickets you do win from games that give them vs how many tickets the worthwhile prizes cost is much better than both kingpins and bullwinkles, so big als does have that going for them against local competition. But I still just can’t get past the no cash thing; I have so many memories of walking down here with my siblings when we were little kids excited to spend our allowances on the arcade. It just doesn’t feel right for a place like this to not accept cash.
