“This place is phenomenal! I don’t understand how it is not packed all the time. We were looking for a place to get a good steak that was anywhere but Portland, especially downtown. We ran into this on Google. The reviews were great and I’m so happy we checked it out. We got bread, polenta salad, and coconut shrimp for appetizers. All delicious! For the entrées we got a porterhouse and a ribeye steak with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and mushroom risotto. All delicious! The steaks were seasoned and cooked to perfection. For dessert we got a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Perfect way to end the meal. This was a celebration dinner so we spent a good amount of money on this meal but they have a great selection of good quality cuts and other great options that aren’t priced as high. Also, the drink menu is extensive. I don’t drink alcohol anymore but they have a non alcoholic menu made with zero proof ingredient's, so I was able to have an old fashioned without the alcohol in it. That was a really nice surprise because I missed the taste of those but couldn’t drink them. I didn’t realize that was even a thing. We will definitely be back to this place in the future! Finally, I would like to mention, Elaine. She was our server. Best in the business! Her customer service was top notch, she was sweet and walked us through menu options when we couldn’t decide, and was extremely knowledgeable on the menu. I honestly wish I could have an “Elaine” at every restaurant I eat at. She made the experience there even better. 10 out of 10, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!“

“Oh boy the food was phenomenal but it was immediately clear that they thought we were out of our tax bracket. A simple date night with my husband turned into a sociological rollercoaster. From how many different people popped by our table - it really felt like they were talking about us in the back and everybody was like “oh I gotta see this. “Celebrated 53rd wedding anniversary, eating there for the very first time. We both had filet mignon, & it was the most delicious steak we’ve had in a long time. Service was excellent, & we will definitely go back. Wish they would serve a few slices of bread & butter, but we were full when we left. Nice time!“

He had every table full and then a big party(20) people waiting for their table getting drinks…I realize it’s hard to find people to work but you really need two people working in the bar. “My boyfriend and I came here for my birthday for the first time and it was such a delicious, enjoyable experience. I’m thinking of going back for their Father’s Day bbq next weekend. We both had steaks- the tenderloin with truffle blue cheese butter melted in my mouth. We also had the marbled potatoes, cipollini onions, harissa butter, au poivre jus, cornbread, bone marrow, oysters and Mac n cheese. ALL were delicious! Some of the best food I’ve ever had. We happily had plenty of leftovers to take home and everything was just as amazing the next day!
Manager Allix was so so accommodating and professional, as was all staff. Drinks were unique and tasty!
