We stopped in around 1:30 for some Chai and snacks. It was our first time in and it was busy, but it seemed unexpected because the staff was a bit overwhelmed, so I don't know what a regular Tuesday afternoon looks like! Staff was kind and helpful, and our broccoli quiches and sweet chai lattes were delicious. We didn't wait long, even with a big line. We were cozy on their love seats, and had lots of other seating options to choose from. They also have outdoor seating for nice days. We both agreed that their sweet chai latte is really well balanced and yummy! Not too sweet or spicy. I will definitely be back!

We can’t believe how much of a gem Symphony is! Proud regulars for both pickup and dine in ordering for excellent coffee and food. The staff is awesome, and they cultivated an atmosphere that only compliments the cozy and intimate vibe.

Beware heathens, it’s a bit churchy. I assumed, given the name, that classical music would be playing but it’s cringy Jesus music. Food is good, coffee is good and the people are nice.

Quiche was awesome and the coffee was strong and good. The liege waffles could have been a better rep of Belgian waffles. The barista was kind and great to talk to.

Symphony Coffee in Beaverton has been a great spot to find after moving back to Oregon from California.
I was looking for a good neighborhood coffee shop, and this fits the bill.
I consistently enjoy their flat whites and lattes, and the food is excellent; their sandwiches are delicious (I recommend the Lox Bagel!).
The atmosphere is also calm and relaxing.
Kudos to the kitchen and counter staff—everyone is genuinely friendly and helpful.
It’s the kind of great service that makes a regular out of a new customer.

I can not praise this location enough for the experience we have had. We have visited different coffee shops all over the city and country and thus far, Symphony Coffeehouse is the BEST we have been to. Sammy was delightful to chat with and is an expert in her craft. The atmosphere is very calming and welcoming and great for studying for school. They make all items in house and it shows they care in their work. Will make this our go-to location from now on.

I guess I came on a bad day. There was only one person taking all the orders and making all of the coffee drinks. As someone who has done that before, it's a lot to deal with, especially when there's a line.

So my experience kind of sucked because I have to find something to eat within my dietary restrictions and the guy behind the counter was too flustered to even figure out what went in a smoothie.

So I just got coffee with cream and two stevias and drove away not noticing that they didn't put in the stevias.

To be clear, I don't think any of this is the fault of the employee, this is a management issue.

I had a turkey panini twice here. It also came with a salad and chips. All tasted good and fresh.

I also tried a single origin drip coffee from Guatemala that they were featuring. I loved it!

I haven't tried their pastries yet, but they look excellent.

I'm really happy to have a place like this not too far from my home. Yay!

Edit: I've come to this cafe many times since it opened, and they have maintained the quality. However there are a couple of downsides I want to mention:

1) Prices have gone up a lot - $12.95 for a (delicious) bagel sandwich with no sides. The same sandwich was $9.95 just recently. A 30% bump in price didn't make me happy.

2) The tables and chairs in this cafe are poorly suited for customers, because the legs of the tables make it hard to get in and out of a sitting position. Better would be to have at least the tables use a single central pole. Just that change would make a big difference.

3) Due to some personal medical issues, I'm unable to drink caffeintated coffee for awhile, and this cafe only has decaf in the form of espresso (no drip). Furthermore, the taste of their decaf is quite bland. I know decaf can taste much better than this - for example Marigold in Portland makes a great decaf.

4) The table service is very minimal - they will bring out the dish you ordered, but you need to fetch your own napkins, flatware, etc. Coffee needs to be picked up at the counter. Then they expect you to clean your table, bus the dishes, etc. all of which is fine, but the minimum suggested tip is 18%, and I ask myself, what exactly am I tipping for?

Because of the reasons above, I will be going to this cafe less often, and probably using the custom tip down to like 10% when I do.
