Waba Restaurant Reviews
I finally got to stop in and try Waba after seeing their sign many times in passing down Lombard. I had a delicious bulgogi beef, and I returned to try their japchae, and it was so very good with fresh veggies cooked just right and with beef in there too. The meals came with rice, and I enjoyed the condiments that were included (kimchee, and some other various selections of the day). There was a very nice lady and gentleman running the place.
Yum! Home-cooked hole in the wall with delicious Korean food. Can’t go wrong with anything from their stir fry section. We loved the stir fried squid & pork belly with veggies.Went over Labor Day and it was one of the few Korean restaurants opened. Sat outdoors in their table outside, felt COVID-safe.
So this place is fire. Ordered the tofu soup veggie (soondubu jjigae) on a holiday and this meal is dope. The rice is flavorful, the sides are perfection and the soup is spicy and delicious. I usually get this soup at a spot off 82nd Ave so I was nervous but for real do not listen to ppl who don't like this place. It's really good food.
