Best soup and service ever. This is the OG bone broth. Served with radish kimchi and rice. What else do you need? Also I love the cabbage short rib and bean paste soup as well. It's really amazing

I've been searching everywhere for a good, authentic korean soup place in Oregon. I was really excited to hear this open up because I use to love galbitang and Surlungtang while living in korea. It's nice to have a place that specifically serves one type of soup. I must say though, the Surlungtang was a lot better than the short rib soup. It was creamy and I love the different types of meat you can get with it. And anything with glass noodles at the bottom, I'm in. My partner added wayyy to much salt because he's a noob, but it was still delicious and perfect for warming your tummy. The short rib soup was... interesting. I was hoping it would stay true to it's direct korean translation (Galbitang) but I should've known it was different from its listed korean name (totally my fault, should've double checked). But even so, the bowl was 75% cabbage leaves and had like 3 small pieces of short ribs. The cabbage was the soft top parts of the Napa cabbage and came out over cooked and soggy in the broth. The broth is made with their korean bean paste (which is a hit or miss for some). I'm rating it a 4 star because I think I ordered a really difficult dish to eat, but I tasted their popular one and it was great. Overall I should've selected what they specialized in, SEOLLEONGTANG. Next time :)

Delicious warm soup that's the perfect compliment to a cold rainy day. It is inside of a sushi restaurant so just go straight to the right side if you are there for soup

This place is inside of a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but all weirdness aside, this tiny "tang" eatery is pretty legit. It does take a while for the soup to be ready, but the owner will bring out some kkakdugi as you wait for your order. The soup is bland, but you are welcome to add salt or spices as you see fit for your preference. You can definitely taste the freshness in the soup, and there are no MSG or other additives in it.

Only three days after our first visit, we are back again lol. This is a place what your can find authentic and simple beef/ox bone soups, their specialty, it's healthy, yummy, and full of collagen! This is not a place that makes Korean spicy soups, but a place for simple and traditional ox bone soup - where you season it yourself, based on your preference. You can enjoy it without salt, with salt, non-spicy, or spicy. Totally up to you. If you are a first timer, feel free to ask how to enjoy the soup, they are very friendly and willing to tell you, their traditional way of eating it. It is not easy to have good beef bone soup, certainly not easy to make one at home - takes too long. We are so so happy to have found one in Beaverton area!!! I thought I could only have this type of bone soup in Korean towns in California or what not, but I was wrong! I'm so glad Oregon are having more and more delicious and unique restaurants for folks to explore!

Amazing! Go now while they're still new! The main soul is great with lots of meat. Each order comes with radish kimchi and a bowl of rice so it's definitely a lot of food. I'd recommended even just getting one bowl of the main soup to share and ask for an extra bowl of rice if there are 2 of you.

Delicious broth. Very simple menu, but so good! Great during the winter! And service was amazing! The owner was so friendly and great at explaining the menu!

This place is legit. I love restaurants that have small limited menus. Means that their one specialty item will be off the hook, and this place definitely met that expectation. Ignore the left part of the restaurant and go straight to the right. The proprietor will greet you, take you to your seat and ask if you've ever had surlungtang before. Get the one with all the meats! Some radish kimchi will be brought out for you to snack on until the main course. Delicious unctuous soup. It does not come seasoned, so add salt to taste. Love that they do this. I often get soup and find its way over salted for me.

If this place is rated 5 stars. there is definitely something wrong with Portland's Korean food scene. There is literally no taste in there soup. You guys deserve better food. this is just not it.

Very limited menu but that just means they are very specialized in the things they have: Sul lung tang!! I got the brisket sullungtang and the boyfriend got the short rib woogoejitang. The sullungtang was exactly how i wanted it: tender slices of brisket with the rich opaque broth! They have salt and green onions on the side. The salt they have is a bit coarse which made me add too much to it so beware! The woogoejitang is a doenjang base broth with pieces of short ribs and generous portions of napa. Sadly, there's only 4 pieces of short ribs in a giant bowl of napa so my boyfriend kept fishing out brisket from my bowl. They give you daikon kimchi as a side dish. I wish they would cut it into smaller pieces so the marinade can go all the way through but otherwise it is very tasty.

I love sushi, I love Korean food. And here, you can get both! Yes, enter Sushi Me and it will be towards the right. Should you choose to pick up a few plates of sushi, they will charge it all on the same bill. The place has a few appetizers but essentially all they make is a deceptively rich and nourishing ox bone soup. The soup is simple: broth, a choice of meats (tendon was soft and made my soup extra rich, pork knuckle was thinly sliced meat, no bone) and glass noodles. It also comes with rice, a heaping container of green onion, mild-medium spicy paste, salt (season to your taste) and a crock of radish kimchi. I was sick and feeling particularly awful, this helped a lot. We went on a Saturday around at lunch time, there was a steady flow but not busy. - Plenty of seating and for groups of 4 or more. - My eating partner and I were the only non-Korean speaking people there. Just fyi, the server's English was minimal but we got by just fine.

Great specialty Korean restaurant! Their small menu focuses on its namesake Ox bone soup. We tried the Special, which includes all of the meat options. The opaque broth has a great deep flavor--you can tell it has been simmering for hours. You add your own salt, but you could even enjoy it without salt. Be sure to taste it first--just a few grains will make the flavors pop. It comes with sweet potato noodles and a bowl of rice. All of the toppings were fresh, clean, and tender, but the lean meat, especially eye of round, got too overcooked in the hot broth for my taste. Next time, I will just get the tripe and tendon. The tendon salad ($15) is served warm with tender tendon. Its sesame/soy/sweet with a slight kick of pepper flavor profile was delicious. It seemed a bit spendy for the serving size, but it was yummy. The giant daikon kimchi that comes with the meal was tasty--a good balance of sweet and spicy. Service was very friendly. This is great comfort food! It really warms your bones.

Great place to enjoy Korean OX soup! Me and my family have been coming to this place several times this month!

If you love soup like me, this place is worth checking out (although I wouldn't go out of my way to come here). Yun's is tucked inside of Sushi Me and they serve a korean style soup where the beef bone broth has cooked for 24 hours. Complementary kimchi radish - very tasty. It could have been cut into smaller chunks though. It was brought out to us in a soup bowl and our waiter instructed us to scoop out what we wanted to eat onto another plate which made me wonder if they reuse the bowl and refill it for each incoming table. Beef short rib woogoejitang- loved the flavor of the soup. Definitely recommend. I wish it included noodles in the soup though. Upon receiving my soup, I noticed that there were no short ribs in my soup so I notified the waiter and he brought out some beef short ribs for me in another bowl. The short ribs were pretty tender but lacked flavor. Tripe and tendon surlungtang- pretty comforting and good, once you add salt to it. Upon receiving this dish, our waiter notified us that the soup is prepared without any salt, so it is up to the guests discretion to add as much salt as they wish. The tripe and tendon were super tender and went well with the soup.

This is a place worth checking out if you like the Korean style soups! They have a minimalistic menu, which usually means the items they are serving should be good and in this case, it really is good. The soup we ordered (the trio) had soo much flavor to it. They don't really add much salt to it and let you add the desirable amount. The amount of meat inside the soup was also generous and very tender. The steamed dumplings were okay along with the spicy pork hock salad. Overall, the soup is great and I will be coming back for it.
