My favorite spot to go when I’m downtown, especially after floating the river. Amazing sandwiches and salads. It’s a local staple with a great vibe too.

While the sandwiches and salad were very tasty, there was “no public restroom” - the employee directed me to a “Porta-John” down at the end of the sidewalk. It was disgusting - no handwashing station - just hand sanitizer foam.

My husband is brown skinned Hawaiian. Sat at the bar with card out and ID and wasn’t served even once while two white tourists were refilled twice in that timeframe as we waited for 30+ minutes for our sandwich order with cookies and chips that cost us $50. Wish I never ordered our sandwiches online so that I avoided even tipping anyone at this establishment. Look, I’m not someone that believes that treating me better because we have colored skin but come on bro … do better. No excuses there are 5 bar chairs and only two were taken before my husband sat down for a beer and he couldn’t even get that. GROSS. High do NOT recommend.

I didn't take a great picture, well it looks great but nothing to show just how big this actually is. One portion is the size of my hand. Ok, on to my quick review of it.

XL Sunrise sandwich from the beach hut deli. $22.50 for this bad boy. I could barely eat half of this sandwich and I am stuffed. This is one of my fav sandwich places to go to and it's located in Bend. They are always busy so make sure you have time to wait or order ahead. I've gotten a sandwich from this place every time we have come here. Find yourself in Bend and love deli sub style sandwiches? Make sure you check this place out.

My daughter bought me my first Beach Hut Deli sandwich while I was helping her open her new store in Bend called Staghorn Mercantile at 916 Wall Street. We put in a few 12 hour days and the sandwiches we got there were very satisfying and well worth the money. My wife and I have eaten there twice while visiting Bend. I got the Philly Steak and my wife got the Hot Pastrami. The Philly Steak was a massive sandwich, so big in fact, you need to eat this with a knife and fork. I enjoyed this more than some steak dinners I've eaten. So friends, if you want a sandwich with satisfying flavor and nice portions visit Beach Hut Deli you'll walk away happy!

To the manager: I hope you guys get some Red XL tee shirts in when I visit the next time I wanted one so bad.

I’ve been coming to Beach Hut for many years and have always enjoyed the great food and consistently positive experiences. The service has always been excellent as well.

However, during my most recent visit, I was extremely disappointed and concerned by what I observed. Over the course of about 15 minutes, I watched as four team members prepared food without once washing their hands. One of the employees repeatedly wiped her hands on her jeans and then continued making sandwiches. Additionally, the cashier, after handling customer payments, assisted with food prep without washing his hands.

Cleanliness and proper food safety practices are crucial, and what I witnessed today was very troubling. I hope this issue is addressed promptly to maintain the quality and standards that have kept me coming back for years.

Probably the worst choice in all of downtown Bend. I've tried a few times and it's always painfully slow to get a sandwich. Today was the worst (and my last time) it wasn't busy and we waited 30 minutes to get 2 sandwiches and 1 soup. After waiting 20 minutes, they told us the soup choice was not available so I chose a different soup. They then brought me cold soup and my sandwich was smothered in mustard. Smothered. Someone likes mustard there? Gross and I won't bother with it again.
