Lunch experience Two fish tacos for $16 Not bad
Bowl of chili $13 Served lukewarm Good spice, but way too much sugar (I know this because there is no sugar in chili)
Rather large slab of cornbread was served on the side
It was a shoebox shaped slab, ice cold as if out of the refrigerator, I didn’t touch it till the waiter was there, and while I was telling him how I would like the chili to be heated, I checked the cornbread and instantly reacted,surprised it was so wet, dense and cold.
He said I’ll fix that
He came back a few minutes later with another bowl of chili and said the chili is supposed to be served at 180°, this should be better.
I said that’s 50° past the threshold of pain 🤔😳
He said the cornbread is supposed to be served cold.
I said no, it’s not.
He said, I know I’m from the south too (as I was wearing my longhorn hat). He said that’s just the way they do it up here. It’s an Oregon thing. I said no, it’s not.
He said the kitchen said that’s how they do it. I said then someone in the kitchen should be slapped because it’s not how you serve cornbread ever anywhere.
He left and I got to enjoy another bowl of slightly warmer, (I judged it not more than 120 degrees) but still not hot. Chilli
The waiter couldn’t have been nicer, And since he took the time to try and make sure we were OK, and talk to us on a human level, was happy to give him a 25% tip. I don’t think anybody else would’ve gotten that.
The kitchen needs to wake up and get off their duff. The way you serve something is not based on how convenient it is for you.

Black bean burger (including bun!), hummus plate, and fries are vegan, so pretty standard brew pub options which are just ok, but at least you won't have to resort to a lettuce wrap. Really appreciate that the staff was knowledgeable and helpful in figuring out vegan modifications and options. Also had the ching ching sour which was delicious.

Holy moly!!! The food here is 5-stars! So tasty and addicting! I am so glad we found this place when passing through on our roadtrip. The happy hour is freaking delicious. We were so impressed with the fajitas, we did a double-take. Man!!! This place is so good!!
