Ordered prime rib. The prime rib was tough also would have liked a baked potato instead of mashed also a little vegetable would have been a complete dinner for the price

Blacksteer continues to disappoint.
In the restaurant it is freezing cold. It's very difficult to enjoy a meal while it's about 30 degrees inside.
They are now on DoorDash so we ordered. 45 minutes later, the restaurant cancelled the order saying they were busy.
The service inside the restaurant is just OK.
Now, the delivery is a sheer failure.
Nothing about this restaurant indicates they'll be here for the long haul as they have failed over and over again.

The food was amazing. Steak was perfectly cooked. Super tender. The mac and cheese was very creamy and cheesy. The service was alright. She didn't tell us about any specials or give us any suggestions, she just did the job. One thing was they don't give you any bread or dinner salad. They just bring your entre. They do bring an appetizer if you wanna attach that along with any side dish expense on. It was overpriced, i think, for two steaks and mash potatoes and soup added, and mac&cheese added for $134. No bread! It tasted good, but I wouldn't go back.

Ordered food for 7 the night before to be delivered at work for lunch and my order was cancelled because the cook didn’t show up to work. I guess they only have one cook on shift…. Very disappointed and with 15 minutes to when the food was to be delivered is when I was notified and must rush to get food elsewhere… 0 stars if possible
The restaurant reached out in less than an hour to apologize and made me feel understood and appreciated with a sincere resolution to the unfortunate circumstances. I will 100% be giving them another visit!
I still have not received the email from the owner…

Only three other tables seated on a Thursday should have been a warning. Nevertheless, 75 minutes--i counted--for four steak dinners to appear, even though there were at least three cooks on the line. What they were doing no one
knows, as 1/2 of the already limited menu was unavailable, including their "signature" dish. Leaving their $60 options, and there are better places to spend that kind of money. $60 a la carte, at that.
If you like Blacksteer you had better get there soon because all signs point to an imminent demise.

For the 5 minutes I was there to pick up my order it was a horrible experience. I will not ever be retuning. Was missing one of our meals after texting me multiple times saying our order was ready without mentioning missing meal. Then said, “sorry let’s just call it a learning experience.” And did nothing to make it right. We also asked for paper plates and got the response “the meals come in Togo containers” … like no shit that wasn’t my question we were staying in a hotel and were in town for an event. The missing meal was for my friend and his baby so we wanted plates to share food. Just bad service

Not the best experience. Food was mediocre, would have sent back except we had been waiting there over an hour after ordering. I did appreciate the decorative flairs on the food. The green beans and creamed spinach were good.
The wait staff was friendly and the atmosphere was decent.

Maribelle was fantastic, very knowledgeable had all the specials on lock as well as the items that were 86’d for the evening . I was disappointed that the premium steaks didn’t come with potato’s/side in general but that is my only complaint, drinks were lovely, food was cooked perfectly to temp.
Dietary restrictions: I was easily able to avoid tree nuts

I can’t speak to the quality of the food because we didn’t have a chance to eat anything except a crab cake appetizer which was admittedly delicious. With that said, I am not sure by which metrics anyone with a reservation for (3) should be expected to wait 76 minutes for their meal.
I’m not a person that leaves many reviews and always consider the circumstances when leaving less than neutral. However, from my perspective our visit was a complete failure starting off with being informed that they had no bread, no chicken and out of the brand of wine we wanted. Fine, nothing that can’t be worked around. But, after 60 minutes and exhausting your drinks, one can’t help but to begin noticing what’s going on around you.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bigger disconnect in managing. No communication, no sense of urgency and no customer priority. It’s as if the entire staff was saying “that’s not my job”. Dirty tables, lines of people waiting to be seated and us waiting for our food with empty glasses. They even ran out of martini glasses and instead of washing any they told the customers next to us that they couldn’t provide their drinks.
Anyway, our server was a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor. Unfortunately, we couldn’t wait any longer as we had plans and it became a matter of principle but our server completely understood and offered our wine and appetizer on the house. Much appreciated.
I’ll chalk this up to a bad night for this establishment in the hopes that they are experiencing a learning curve. Probably stick with our usual well established and consistent steak house from now on though.

Can't rate the food because we never got any. After 1-1/2 hours. Finally left. Happy Valentine's Day.

Service was horrible. We finally left after not getting our food after 1-1/2 hours. On Valentine's Day. Wasn't even that busy.
Super nice people and good service. Just not impressed with the food. I think it’s just a Bend thing where you pay $60 plus for a steak and it’s just “okay”

We used to love this place- but they changed their menu, and we are less impressed. They are trying to go the traditional steakhouse route and have selections we are less impressed with.
The last time we went, the service in the bar was horrible (3-4x prior we loved the place and had great waitstaff)- but food was good. The staff soured us enough it'd been probably 6 months. This time the staff was good- and the food was less impressive.
My husband ate some of mine, but it was the most over salted steak I'd ever been served and far too lean a cut to get away with it.
The soup was fine... hearty.
But nothing I'd order again.
We had the special because nothing in the main menu was that enticing. It'll be a while before we try again.
