Extremely rude and oblivious wait staff, mediocre food, and unclear hours of service. Wouldn't recommend it.

Really great food. We went in on a Sunday, and the place was packed. Our server was excellent but she was running the entire time along with one other server, running the whole place. They could've easily used 2 more servers on a busy Sunday morning 'cause we waited all in an hour between when we walked in til when our breakfasts arrived. I'll go back because the food was delicious and our server was so nice.

Stupid bartender Kelly had an altercation outside of work and held it against a person coming into the place of business.

Been going to the D since I was nine years old. Great piece of Bend’s Americana. Love it!

As for the bad reviews, not sure what kind of entitled whinyass you'd have to be to piss these folks off, but we were met with smiles and top notch service from at least three people. Had a bloody mary, and it was ok. Ordered the country breakfast with the ribeye: stellar! Not many places will actually cook you a legit rare steak, but this one was perfect. Great food, great service, and a classic diner feel make this a stop that I'll come visit again when traveling to Bend.

Quick stop in while overnighting. Service was friendly, drinks reasonably priced. Sort of your usual casual bar. Pleasant place.

When in doubt, go to the D! Breakfast all day with the best corned beef hash. And Fred's Special is always a usual fave...super bomb daily specials, and the staff have always been amazing. The D will always be a staple for us locals here in Bend. Grab a Source Weekly, a bite, a drink, and relax!Kid-friendliness: Brought my 5 year old nephew in there one day, and he loved it! They made him feel special with the cherries in his drink. Plus, all the cool stuff to look at! He loves the art/posters/pictures on the walls. As do I.

Oh.my.gosh! This place has amazing breakfast! Met our friends here for breakfast. Ordered the D&D scramble with sausage links and gravy on the side. I’m not much of a gravy girl but I got a biscuit with a side of grace (came with my meal).Hubby got the large California. Benedict. Keys just say he helped me with my meal! Portions were huge! The biscuit came out piping hot and still steaming. The sausage gravy was legit. So much so, my husband ate all of it and I had to asked for more! No problem!Definitely great atmosphere abd our server was fabulous!!
