As for the bad reviews, not sure what kind of entitled whinyass you'd have to be to piss these folks off, but we were met with smiles and top notch service from at least three people. Had a bloody mary, and it was ok. Ordered the country breakfast with the ribeye: stellar! Not many places will actually cook you a legit rare steak, but this one was perfect. Great food, great service, and a classic diner feel make this a stop that I'll come visit again when traveling to Bend.
When in doubt, go to the D! Breakfast all day with the best corned beef hash. And Fred's Special is always a usual fave...super bomb daily specials, and the staff have always been amazing. Really great food. We went in on a Sunday, and the place was packed. Our server was excellent but she was running the entire time along with one other server, running the whole place. They could've easily used 2 more servers on a busy Sunday morning 'cause we waited all in an hour between when we walked in til when our breakfasts arrived. I'll go back because the food was delicious and our server was so nice.
