This place has completely ruined me with coffee. Owners are very involved with the business and quality control. I have never seen a coffee shop so concerned with quality control. It’s not uncommon for baristas to regularly quality test shots that comes out of the machine and not uncommon to see them dump out a shot, readjust the grind due to humidity, pressure in the room, or just because they aren’t feeling it. They live for coffee and will nerd out about coffee to the point...
If I could only go to one coffee shop fit the rest of my life, it would be Palate! Jason (owner) is a beautiful human being and incredibly kind and welcoming. I am here once a week still even we live 20 minutes away. It's worth it for the vibe and the good beverages for sure!
This place makes solid dirty chai. Love the atmosphere inside as well. The team there was friendly every time I talked to them. I would be a regular here but unfortunately I was in Bend for only a couple months.
