Awesome wall, salsas are a whole experience cheese, birria, cohinita, had no flavor :( but beef and the shrimp, the shrimp is perfect ? kinda expensive, do not expect Mexican experience if you have been in Mexico.

My husband and I ordered nachos and margaritas. The nachos were filling and the margs were tasty. Thanks, Papi Chulo's!

We ordered the quesabirria, three tacos(chicken, pork, veggie), and horchata. The veggie taco was seriously surprisingly delicious. It isn't what I usually order, but I asked for recommendations and got it. It was fire. The chicken taco had a smokey flavor that was good, and the pork taco was good if a little chewy. I wish there was more sauce to go with them, but I would definitely eat that veggie taco again. It was amazing. The quesabirria didn't have very much range in flavor. It was heavy beef flavor, like roast beef. But it was still good. My husband loved it. It was filling.Horchata was YUMM. Next time, I would ask for light ice.The value was good, especially for BendVegetarian options: Vegetarian taco was delicious! Soooooo good. Had fried cheese in it.

Twice in the last 3 weeks my wife and I have gone to Papi Chulos for dinner after working 15+ hour days only to find out that they had chose to close early (30 minutes the first time and 50 minutes tonight showing a complete lack of respect for their customers so we drove north about 8 blocks to Hola who stated they were open until midnight and I will be darned they were open and packed at 9:30pm with 1 waiter 1 bus person and 1 bartender. I guess if you actually honor your printed and electronic commitments to your customers they respond by patronizing your business. I have lived in Bend since 1977 and eateries come and go my prediction is this one is gone by December of 24 and I will do my very best to help that along by steering anyone in my sphere of influence away from this doomed venture.

My wife went there to get a breakfast burrito Sunday. She came back empty. She seats down and says that she waited for service and the girl that was taking orders did not respond to her at all and she said that the girl kept on working in the back, upstairs everywhere but her and this is waiting for at least 20 minutes. So she finally left and told the man behind her that this way to long. The man says I don't blame with shaking of his head. Live in Portland and won't be going there any time soon at Portland location. ?

The Birria Burrito by itself is worth a 5. Hot, cheesy, loaded with meat and downright craveable dipped in the consomé.

Wow! Yet more evidence that it is difficult to find a bad meal in Bend. We ordered the vegetarian taco and a quesadilla with green chilies. Typically, you can only do so much with a vegetarian taco, but this is among the best I've ever had! Look forward to trying more on the menu.

My husband and I love Papi Chulos burritos. We eat here about once a week. It’s our post mountain meal when there’s no time to cook. It’s one of the few places in Bend with reasonable prices and they toast the outside of the burritos which I love. We either get the breakfast burrito or the burrito with a mix of pinto and black beans. We don’t eat meat so I can’t speak to that but we love the burritos we order. Also this is one of the few restaurants open late in Bend at any given time. The atmosphere is fun as well but we do normally get take aways.

Popped into Papi Chulos for the first time on a Tuesday morning just after 10am to fill a hankering for a breakfast burrito before diving back into work. It was totally empty aside from the gal working but she greeted me warmly and took my order (breakfast burrito with chorizo added, about $15 with tip) and handed me a number to wait with. Sat for maybe 5-10 minutes and was handed a small but hefty bag with a couple sauces included. Got home a bit later and from the first bite I was impressed with the burst of flavor - lightly charred veggies, seasoned chorizo, gooey melted cheese, and properly toasted tortilla. I quickly popped the sauces open and found the green one able to go toe to toe with the burritos flavor, but the red kinda fell off for me and was harder to detect. I love spice and heavy hits of flavor though.Curious to have other meals, but almost assuredly will be back for another breakfast burrito down the line!

This place is pretty good but it can be a hit or miss sometimes the Birria taco is pretty good but it's very difficult to eat the pork but the food is good

It's just all kind of...average. There are too many good taco places in town for me to want to come back here.
