If I wanted spaghetti from a box I would have made it myself.

Servers were the best, especially Rachel! Food was good, slightly pricey. Drinks were amazing and strong!! I never get dessert, this time I did and it was so worth it!

My husband and I went here during a ski trip to Mt. Bachelor. I’ve never been to Bend before and we just stumbled upon this restaurant, which doesn’t look like much from the outside but was one of the best meals either of us have had in a long time. Drinks were tasty, they have a great wine selection. I had the scallop and saffron risotto and it was truly done exactly right. I have never had a scallop that perfectly seared. The texture and flavor of the risotto was amazing. We also had beef carpaccio to start which was delicate and flavorful. My husband’s bolognese was top notch as well. Overall the service and general vibes were unassuming and friendly. Highly recommend!!!!

They recently changed the menu and doubled the prices sadly. 4 pieces of small vegetarian ravioli are now $30 instead of $17. Food was good, our service was a bit slow, tables that ordered after us did receive their drinks and food first. Had a situation where I called before our reservation to check on a gift card and the woman I spoke with was so dang rude and actually talked over me and then hung up on me. I was so shocked. She didn't know we'd be in in a couple of hours to dine and I wonder if this is how they treat people when they're not in front of a guest or worried about a tip. I called back to finish asking my question and someone different answered. I told her what happened and that we had a reservation at 5:30 - She apologized for the treatment but she shouldn't have to apologize for a coworkers rude behavior. I was considering cancelling the reservation but it was with other people so decided to keep it. We go to salute about every other month and unfortunately I don't think we'll go back. I mean she was so dang rude when I called to inquire about something. Like she just didn't have time and then hanging up on me was uncalled for. The staff acted really weird when we arrived and I wonder if our table was “forgotten” because of the situation on the phone. All in all it's put a sour opinion of their establishment. I heard they have new owners so maybe the attitude shift is part of new ownership. Staff might be overwork-hey maybe it was one of the owners that hung up on me-I have no idea. Good luck!

Overall excellent food and drinks and Claudia provided outstanding service. We made a 7:30 reservation and we were celebrating a birthday so we even did birthday cake after dinner. We didn't realize the restaurant was closing at 8 until we noticed all the tables were empty at almost 9, we didn't feel rushed at all this entire time.

Great service from beginning to end, recommendations were spot on and we order things we would've normally ordered only to be blown away. Cocktails we're delicious and not overly sweet! Appetizers, salads and main dishes were all spectacular.

What a gem! So glad we checked this place out. The soup they had was incredibly unique and delicious. Everything we ordered was made from scratch perfection. The staff was attentive and the ambiance was great. It's tricky to find the entry and the name doesn't really fit it do it justice... but let go of those 2 things. You'll be glad you did.

We tried the chef's menu plus a Ceasar and ravioli. Everything was well prepared and a couple items (egg drop soup and banana dessert) were wonderful. Small vibrant space. Out server was also the bar tender and seemed to be cranking out lovely looking cocktails.

The dishes are unique and excellent. We each had a salad, glass of wine, pasta dish, and desert. The chocolate moose and cannoli were over the top good; one desert is enough for 2 people. The house bread compliments the pasta wonderfully. Our new favorite in downtown Bend.

Our meals were excellent. We both got the endive salad to start, then pastas. We took advantage of the mid-week special and even got desserts. All for $39 each. Our server, Rachel was informative and attentive. Couldn't ask for a better dinner out.

The special lobster ravioli was exquisite! The duck Raguso incredible. We really appreciated the flexibility of the chef to allow us to order items from the chef's choice menu. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Can't wait to return!

This restaurant has improved greatly since we were here a few years ago. Delicious food - I am celiac and they were able to accommodate me with the risotto and on several other dishes. My husband had the lamb shank, which they also prepared gluten free so I could try - fall off the bone tastiness. Our server was very kind and unobtrusive, very gracious. It was a lovely evening.

Salute was a good place to eat. The ambiance was decent but not extraordinary. The food was very good but not exceptional. For the value of what the meal cost, I had hoped for something a bit more special.

We went there every time we were in Bend to visit, but now since we moved to Bend as full time residents we've only been there a couple of times. Much smaller menu... which is understandable...and a bit more upscale. Really good antipasti and chicken marsala, but the carbonara that I specifically came in for (although still tasty) was too creamy with the absence of pancetta. A new chef probably. But, all in all a really good restaurant!

Great experience. Had the quail risotto and lamb shank. Portions were just right. Everything cooked perfectly! Left room for dessert (cannoli) which was also perfect. Service was spot on, not overbearing but attentive. Will definitely be back.
