Please go support the ale apothecary! Some of the absolute best beer and best people around. Their commitment to local people and the environment is unmatched, and the quality of experience here is stellar. The ale apothecary and the Club night bottle shares is top on the list of things I miss after my celiac disease diagnosis. You won't regret a visit here.
A wide variety of funky sour beers on tap and bottled some very good, others are an acquired taste or just ok. Taster tray is the best value. Ping pong beer and Sahalie beer were outstanding. Weird arty type atmosphere. Food cart next door. Friendly service, not very busy on a Sunday afternoon.
I don't usually like beer, but I love Ale Apothecary! If you enjoy sours, you'll probably dig this place.
Great sours overall and the bartender was super nice and knowledgeable about the beer and recommendations. The space and atmosphere is cool too
Wonderful live music experience
Great spot, great selection. Definitely worth a visit.
If you like sours, this is the place for you. 6-7 on the menu.
Crazy good beer, lots of different styles to try
Amazing beer. Great service. Mechanical fish.
Really liked this place. The beers were excellent as was the food from the adjacent food truck. The bar tender was great until she started to tell how dangerous Portland
Is. We live in SE Portland lol. We have never felt unsafe or have ever been a victim of crime the 12 years we have been living in Portland. The bar tender from Hood River should be keeping her Fox News opinions to herself as it is way off the mark. Very disappointing .

I really liked this place - good sours, good vibes, we had a lot of fun here!
great sour bar with an amazing food cart out back. chill atmosphere
What a find. Not your run of the mill brewery. Go see it! You’ll be happy you did!
Beer review.I don't see any onsite kitchen. They do sour, wild fermentation beer, but they do have a pale ale and a stout for those who may not like sours. I don't like sour but I tried their pale ale that is not sour but it is open fermented. OMG, it is amazing. I can taste the fermented yeast, and it is sooooooo easy to drink. It is not sour but rather, has a really nice fragrant yeast taste. It is not unpleasant at all. It is not hoppy or malty but a different type of fragrant. This absolutely remind me of the real Belgium old day beer, where they only have sour. This place definitely introduced me to the wild fermentation world and expand my beer taste. Super friendly staff who is super knowledgeable. This is definitely a brewery that "turn" me from a sour hater to now, I would love to try these out!!!
Easily the highest quality beer in town, has an open fermented/sour style, and they’ve made a few “levels” of this style that everyone can enjoy. The spruce beer is the best beer I’ve had and well worth a stop in. Amazing space, cool artwork, and very cool staff.
