I love a great Ruben!
So many choices at this food pod!
We picked this truck and so glad we did!
We so enjoyed the Rueben Sandwich, tender corn beef, super fresh bread and great sauce! Will be hard to find one better than this!
Fries were crispy, perfectly seasoned and delish dipping sauce!
Thank you for getting it right!
We will be back!

The Shrimp Po’ boy is packed with flavor, but for $14 I wanted a larger sandwich.

$14 shrimp po boy on a potato bun, with only 4 shrimp.

Absolutely pathetic. This place is the perfect example of what's wrong with getting food in Bend. I ordered a shrimp po-boy. What I got was a joke of a sandwich on a small potato roll. 4 very small shrimp with a slice of tomato, some lettuce, and a couple bits of chopped pickle. 6 bites, and 14 bucks. Serving this and calling it a po-boy would likely cause a riot in New Orleans. These people dont know what a po-boy is, and are a ripoff that will never get another penny from me.

I'm writing this late, but on a recent trip to Bend to visit family, they took us to "On Tap" which is a happening little food-cart and taphouse cutout in the city. We all went our ways discovering what we wanted to eat, and I ended up at The Bleu Rooster.

I decises on the PBLT, which I think is Pork, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato (Pork, as in crispy pork BELLY). This was definitely a fusion sandwich, mashing up several cultures into one sandwich.

Hands down, one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten in my life. The pork belly was indeed crispy and fatty in the best possible ways, cooked to perfection. The bacon was smoky and salty and thick cut, the sriracha aioli was rich and had that classic spice and fermented chili garlic flavor playing off the richness of those meats so nicely. The tomato jam...That is where it is AT! That was so good that I think I could put that on every sandwich and it would be elevated. Top that with the fresh crispness of lettuce, the garden flavors of sliced tomato, and the pickly pop of the pickled red onions on a potato roll...You have a HEAVENLY sandwich.

I loved this so much I went back to buy another for my brother to try who was watching his kid back at the house, and he had the same reaction as I did in that very first bite: AMAZEMENT.

If you are looking for one of the best sandwiches you'll probably ever eat, please stop here and try this one! You won't be disappointed!

Don't get me wrong the food is good.. but they will charge you 14$ for a sandwich of some kind and 8$ EXTRA for french fries!? That is highway robbery. A full order of french fries should be five maybe six dollars.
There are no principles and respect for the fellow man anymore. its just how can I bend you over and Rob you for every last penny you have

I don't think I will be returning here to eat.

I had the pleasure of trying the rueben, pblt, fries, and their garlic aioli. I'll start with the side, the fries were unique and well seasoned. They were really nice to snack on especially with a beer from on tap. They fit well with the aioli, it had a nice flavor. The meat in both the pblt and rueben were very good, it was NOT sliced lunch meat, it tasted fresh. The rye on the rueben was not marbled, the light rye was on the outside. This made the bread have a nice crust which wasn't as stiff or crunchy as others. I have one gripe, both the sandwiches were dry. I don't feel like it took too much away from their sandwiches though.
