The Cross-Eyed Cricket Watering Hole

My experience here was not like I thought it was going to be. They do have a pretty decent size dance floor for line dancing and swing, but some nights you'll find the person in charge of music turning it into a club instead of making it to where it is suppose to be line dancing!
There is also a song request board that you can request songs and when I went there was a lot of songs put up, but then 20 minutes later someone erased all the songs and wrote there name big on the board.
Would I recommend this place as a safe environment, I mean I would like to but it doesn't seem like security knows how to control people's behavior at this bar, or walk around to keep an eye on things happening here.

If you want to line dance, this place is a hit or miss because one night you may have line dancing or one night you might just walk into a club environment! Take your pick, Overall I wouldn't recommend this place for anything besides the food

We just enjoyed an bbq awesome dinner, the food was delicious and the service so fantastic too. The brisket and the brisket burger were so yummy! I highly recommend everything we ordered was great!

this is a awesome place. from learning to line dance kids one night adult beginner class separate night. food is on point. Crazy thing they use beef tallow no seed oils for frying. cool atmosphere. live music during the winter. Fun time for sure.

This is of the best country bars in the USA. I’ve been to many over the years and this one is top tier. Plenty of comfortable places to stand and watch the dance floor, and the dance floor is well-appointed. Dj had a banging mix of songs that kept the energy up and he was able to take requests as well. Jacob really went above and beyond to make our experience amazing when we were there to celebrate a bachelorette party. The vibe of all the staff was so warm and professional. I would 10/10 come here for a date, celebration, or just by myself. If you are visiting Bend, definitely try to come here.

Really great meat. Mostly pretty simple food but the flavor pops. A great spot for a weekday lunch

Great place for dancing and hanging out. Brittany and Jordan with Fire Line have amazing lessons for swing and line. I have gotten much better and more confident because of them.

I absolutely admire this local bar! Since moving to Bend a couple of years ago, I've made so many new friends through line dancing & attending concerts here. The bartenders and managers are incredibly welcoming, and the atmosphere feels very safe. Highly recommend!

Food has gone downhill. Menu says queso-fresco, but this is nacho cheese out of a can. Chips were stale. Brisket had good flavor but was a very small amount.

Very country bar with sports playing in the background. Menu offers tasty options for bbq and burgers but upon delivery, portion size is lacking and flavors are mediocre for the $$. There are a lot of high-school aged kids present when they have line and country (two-step?) dance lessons which is at least every Thursday night. Pool tables are poorly maintained and expensive if you run a lot of racks at $1 per rack. On the plus side, they are well staffed with good customer service.

We had our wedding reception at the cricket on 9/14 and I cannot say more amazing things about the staff and bar as a whole. The staff was so so accommodating and were outstanding to work with. They got food out to over 100 guests quickly and were serving up drinks quick as well. Guests loved the interior of the bar and commented on how great everything was. This is our favorite bar and we were so grateful to get to share it with all our wedding guests. Cricket is the way to go!

We also had the honor of getting a lesson from Brittany! She gives lessons every week at the cricket and is AMAZING! Our guests had a blast learning from her and were able to know the dances by the end of the night on their own!

There are some great things going on here- Brittany has been such a positive human and learning from her is amazing!!! I wish she did more on the weekends when I have more availability to be there. The bar is lovely. There’s something for everyone: dancing, pool tables, gambling, back patio w yard games. The staff behind the bar & security are all so kind & welcoming!! The remodel is beautiful, & the chicken is worth the 5lbs your gonna gain eating it ;-)
Downsides… the dance floor is slippery, small & wildly dangerous. I've seen numerous injuries on the dance floor here beyond anything I have ever seen dancing before, & had a pretty serious injury myself. The lessons sometimes go far past 9pm…. I don’t want to wait until 10 to start dancing. Also if you’re here in the summer, be prepared to sweat, it’s hot.
