Trattoria Sbandati never disappoints. The food is always incredible — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. We’ve eaten here many times and every meal has been outstanding.
The staff is just as amazing as the food — warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The cozy, intimate vibe makes it perfect for a romantic night out or a small gathering with friends. It’s a true gem in Bend and we’re so grateful to have it here!

We love this little restaurant! The food and service are both outstanding. My Mom was a fabulous Italian cook and the food here tastes like hers…spectacular and authentic.

Excellent scallops and a cucumber salad to start. My wife's saffron pasta and my meatballs and spinach were excellent.

We are very happy to have found this Italian gem. We started off with the antipasta and the board was beautiful. It wasnt my favorite as the bread was a little crispy but flavorful. We both ordered the Ragu Tagliatelle. It was really impressive all around. Great flavors and pasta was cooked well.
We shared the meatballs and enjoyed them. I can see why they are a favorite. However, we think 10.00 a meatball is a little steep. It did come with sautéed spinach, which was cooked and flavored to perfection. We finished sharing the tiramisu and it didn't disappoint.
We enjoyed trying Italian wines and our service was superb.
This isn't a cheap restaurant so I was taken aback seeing them fill water glasses from the sink (no filter seen but can't deny if it was at the bottom).
I'm sure most places serve tap water but once I know, I'll request bottle.
Overall, a very nice dinner and we will be back.

My wife and I went for our anniversary. It was our first time at Trattoria Sbandati. Right as we arrived our table was awaiting us. Our servers, the bar tender, and bussers all were friendly and all came by to serve us at some paint in the night. My cocktail was made just how I like it. We went all out and orderd 4 entrées to share. Each one was unique and was cooked and seasoned to perfection. We started out with a cucumber, arugula, mozzarella, and Cherry tomato salad that had the most unique and amazing flavored balsamic reduction, different then I've ever had before in the best way I can describe. Then we had a PNW shrimp and clam pasta with a zucchini-basil sauce that was so delicious I could have licked the bowl. We also shared the bolognese with a house made egg tagliatelle served with a traditional bolognese sauce that took us right to the mother land. Their house made pastas were so fresh and had amazing texture. Then we had the Roasted Korobuta pork belly served with borlotti beans and black kale. The pork belly was salted so nicely and was crispy on the outside and melted in your mouth on the inside. The borlotti beans and black kale was a wonderful complinment to the dish. Then we dove into the Alaskan cod dish that was cooked so proper and the sauce was just absolutely incredible! It took the trophy of the night and was both our favorite. If you like Italian food and a unique fine dining experience and find yourself in Bend Oregon I highly recommend that you get a reservation at Trattoria Sbandati. By far one of the best meals out I've had in a long time. There are many great places to eat in Bend and this one just made the top of my list of extra special ones. I truly can't say enough good stuff about how much we enjoyed our time here.

The food is absolutely wonderful. The grilled bread is a brilliant take on it, not burnt and the olive oil and toppings are the best representation of these items. The primi and secondi options are superb and the cod in tomato sauce with bread stays in my Italian seaside dreams. Jesus that dish is majestic and addictive. The service was as expected and is great at any refills and specials delivery. Ambience is where it gets a little odd because of the location they are in, with outdoor seating before the front door and then walking into an active dining room while also trying to ask about your reservation, is a bit tough, but not their fault. Bigger spot or even a different layout, changes all of that. Cannot stress enough, this place is a gem, and if I lived in this town, I would come in probably 2 if not 3 times a month but also could be a date night or special occasion spot easily.

So I had to cancel due to a family emergency and on the cancellation policy you have a certain amount of time to cancel around 2 hours before time ‘ DO NOT BELIEVE THEM ‘ . I got told they needed around 24 to 48 hours notice, 2 hours to 1:30 isn’t enough time. And if they don’t have a full table before 7:30 they would charge me and told me they “ most likely will but still “ . I told her about their website policy she sounded annoyed and said for “future noticed “ she turned around and still charged me around 5:49 right after I got off the phone with her Thank goodness for screenshot but this place is a joke everyone be careful!
Decided to go here because people were raving about this place but let me tell you definitely poor service!!!!,from the beginning starting with the host seem like she was having a bad day and looked like she didn’t want to be there.Put in our drink and food order at the same time since we knew what we wanted to eat.well our waitress ended up forgetting our drinks, she brought the drinks along with food at the same time SMH,then to top everything off there was a PIECE OF HAIR on my food!I ended up telling our waitress and she said I’m sorry let me take it back to the kitchen and re make it.,,,,at this time my spouse was done with her food and I still hadn’t ate.Ended up canceling my food order and paying for what we had order.I ended up stopping a McDonald’s to grab a burger and get on with our night.I was EXTREMELY disappointed with my experience here!!
Don’t waste your time here and go somewhere else like BOSA where the service is top notch.

Absolutely incredible! The homemade pasta is to die for! The desserts are heavenly! The specials are out of this world! Incredibly kind but not overbearing staff. Strict with reservations, so show up when you say you will and it will be one of the best dining experiences in Central Oregon!
My wife and I have been dining at Trattoria Sbandati for years, drawn in by the authentic Italian cuisine and high-quality ingredients—like the zero zero flour that elevates their dishes. We’ve celebrated special occasions here, from birthdays to our 10th anniversary, and enjoyed it as a reliable spot for a night out. Reserving through Resy has always been seamless, and we’ve consistently scored a good table. Initially, we were impressed by the food’s authenticity and the friendly service, which kept us coming back.
That said, our recent visits have revealed a noticeable decline in service that’s soured our experience. The pace has slowed considerably, and during our last visit, the waiter got my wife’s main course wrong. Mistakes happen, but there was no effort to make it right—no offer of a complimentary drink, nothing. It felt dismissive. On that same evening, the restaurant was nearly empty—just us and one other group of about six, who seemed to know the staff. All the attention appeared to go their way, leaving us waiting longer than reasonable, on top of the order mix-up. The manager, who’s always struck us as aloof, didn’t once acknowledge us or check in. For loyal customers, that lack of basic courtesy stings.
We’ve noted milestone events like birthdays and our anniversary when booking, but there’s never been any gesture—big or small—to make those occasions feel special. In an intimate restaurant in a small but growing city like Bend, you’d expect a more personal touch, yet it’s always felt like just another meal. The food remains above average, and I’d still rate it highly for quality, but the service has slipped too far to ignore. Our last visit was, sadly, our final one. We’re taking our business elsewhere, to a place that values consistency and customer care as much as we do.
Absolutely delicious fresh pasta, the bread was divine as well. I was really impressed with the quality of the food as well as the service. The Panna Cotta was also extremely good! The prices were pretty fair for the quality of the dishes. I am excited to go back and try other menu items. It was a bit small and people kept running into the back of my chair but we were sat in the middle of the dining room, but I will absolutely be back. The drink menu was also really impressive.
There’s no beating around the bush, this is authentic Italian food. I’ve spent extended time in Florence and this restaurant brought me right back there. A great spot for an intimate dinner
We’ve celebrating with them for 16 years. Always a pleasure. Thank you!
