We usually just do take out. It's a 30 minute drive, and the food is always hot fresh and delicious by the time we get home. Great flavors. Very nice service. We absolutely love the foods here.

Service was good. The appetizers are good but the main dishes are gross…my almond chicken was brownish grey goo on fried chicken and it had a weird odor coming from it. (Looked like Elvira’s casserole from mistress of the dark) I took one bite and got sick. Would not go back

I spent $20,50 tonight for honey walnut shrimp to go. I got home and there was no walnuts in the dish. I called the restaurant and was told they use walnut powder. It’s a complete misrepresentation of the dish. I asked for the owner and for a partial refund the server refused both requests and then began arguing with me. Warning about the lack of integrity of this establishment.

I've been in Brookings for 30+ yrs. Chans used to be top notch. Now you don't get certain things that are traditionally served with one another. You have to ask and , of course, pay extra. This is all fine and good but no FORTUNE COOKIE! Now... That's just un-asian. Your ancestors are probably shaking their heads in shame over a 2¢ tradition!;) And the dry noodles, so you know, are supposed to add crunch but doesn't work when you bury them ahead of time. Wait... The dry bag is probably another penny.
I've stopped in several times after a work shift and appreciate the prompt service.

We stopped here for dinner when we found Zolas closed and Fat Irish full up. We would have been happy with just a burger but our mouths watered as we read Chans menu. The three in our party ordered something different for each. The food was very good and we were pleased that 3 fortune cookies arrived with our bill. We will be back to try more of their food.

This is some good Chinese food! The portions were massive. This has become my goto spot for Chinese food in Brookings. Looks small from the outside, but it's actually pretty big on the inside. Classic American Chinese food.
