The Wayfarer Restaurant and Lounge

Delicious food, excellent service. As typical for the Oregon Coast, attire is EXTREMELY casual. Not uncommon to see hoodies and jeans. It certainly doesn't take away from a fabulous restaurant.

Phenomenal attentive staff who helped us snag a great table. Best fish and chips. But interior is worn and we kept having to bat away the flies

We used to go to the wayfare when it wasn't corporate and really liked it. Since it's gone corporate, it's not the same. Will probably never go back Mike M 702-232-1330

My husband and I chose the Wayfarer because of the location. It sits very close to Haystack rock and there is a wall of glass windows allowing you to take in the whole view while you dine. We had a lovely dining experience and our waiter, Sheamus, was excellent! We each had a salad (huge!) and we shared the special which was a linguine in cream sauce with Dungeness crab. The entree split in half was more than enough for each of us and was excellent!

The clam chowder was amazing!!! Fish and chips and crab cocktail were also delicious. Great views! Went back a year later and tried the warm crab baguette and it is incredible!

Yum! The crab cakes were delightful. They were almost greek inspired with a tzatziki sauce and pickled cucumbers. I don’t think we’ll be able to stop thinking about them. The calamari and mushroom appetizers were good, but nothing special. The farm
greens salad was fresh and easily splittable. The crab bake was phenomenal. Don’t sleep on it. I honestly feel like it was a good price for all the food you get. Easily splittable between two as well. We think it might be our favorite thing we ate in Cannon Beach. We’ll be back! Service was a little strange in the bar/lounge area. There was just one server/bartender and it seemed like a lot for her.

Crab Bake was incredible! Also got the oyster shooter which was full of flavor. Views of Cannon Beach / Haystack Rock are unbeatable.

Anniversary dinner! Everything was outstanding, but it was our waiter, Seamus, who really made it special!

I'm glad I made a reservation; I highly recommend making one no matter the time/party size, because around 5pm there was already a wait! As for food, I ordered the oyster shooter (genius) and the Crab Bake (amazing). My server was very friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant on one side has an incredible view of Haystack Rock, and sits right on Cannon Beach.

The filet mignon was delicious, melted in your mouth. The view from the window seats you could see Haystack Rock it was beautiful while the sun was setting. Service was good and the host was very helpful and pleasant.

The Wayfarer Restaurant and Lounge was a great experience from start to finish. The food was excellent—I had the poached eggs on avocado toast and it was delicious. Everything was fresh and prepared just right.

The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made the meal even better. Prices were a little on the high side, but that definitely comes with being so close to Haystack Rock—you can literally see it from the restaurant when it’s not misty.

Overall, a solid spot in Cannon Beach if you’re looking for a good meal with great service and unbeatable views

Wayfarer marks up your bill 30% from menu prices for take out/to-go orders which is CRAZY and not called out anywhere.

Staff blamed it on cannon beach food tax but that's only 5%. Menu quotes a 15% tip added for take-out orders, but nothing about the other 15% they charge. No itemized receipt provided.

So happy we picked this spot for lunch! The view from the window was gorgeous and the food was awesome. Our waiter was friendly. I loved the steamed Manila clams and the Warm Dungeness crab sandwich—both were amazing. The clams came with a garlicky sauce that was perfect for dipping bread or fries, and I enjoyed every last bite.

The place was GREAT! The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions are huge — I personally recommend bringing a big appetite! I highly recommend this spot if you’re visiting Cannon Beach. Parking is limited in the small lot out front, and while you can stroll to the beach afterward for a quick view of Haystack Rock, both the parking and beach walk can be a bit hit-or-miss.
