Fabulous boutique wine experience—beautiful space, great wine and attentive service—and they are dog friendly!!
What an incredible evening at Black Dog Vineyard! It was mine and my pups first time at the vineyard and we were welcomed with big smiles and doggy treats. This is the perfect low key hang out for dog lovers and pet parents nestled in the beautiful Willamette Valley. It’s lovely enough to dress up, or perfect for someone like me who decided to pop over after a day of romping around the farm with a bit of mud on my pants after a long day. My dog was so comfortable with places to roam, shade to sit in for naps and cozy spots all over for me too. I can’t forget to mention, my Pinot Rose was so refreshing and one of the best I’ve had. Absolutely will be back 🐾❤️
A beautiful location with a friendly, fun, knowledgeable host and delicious wine- what more can one ask for?!
Beautiful tasting room with a gracious host, nice wines. Had the PNW taster.
So good, we love the Manzanita location but this was great, not so far out of Portland but plenty removed. Great service, pretty views, activities and the wine, so good!
Small winery, but nice view and wine tasting experience. No food options, so be prepared to bring your own snacks.
Fantastic place! Steve and Mark were so kind. My sister and I had never done a wine tasting before, and I feel so much more informed. It was the perfect place to stop on our road trip from Missouri, and the perfect place to meet up with our family who flew in. Thank you!
Absolutely delicious wines. Knowledgeable and passionate staff. A truly beautiful experience. I recommend highly!!
Off the beaten path, but well worth the trek! Don't sleep on this vineyard. While I loved BDV's OR pinots, the petit verdot blew me away! I had to take a bottle back with me, along with a bottle of their white pinot noir. Ex-professor Steve kept the wines flowing and answered all my pressing wine questions in such a way that others haven't been able to do in the past. It was a perfectly peaceful afternoon with views of the vineyard relaxing in those Adirondack chairs, catching up with good friends. This girl couldn't ask for much more...can't wait to return!
A great out of town winery that is not too far to drive, the service was great and the wines were wonderful… They accommodated our under 21 people very well really enjoyed their service

Steve was an incredible story teller of this wine! We had a marvelous experience for my birthday. The other wineries nearby did not answer their phones but he did and it was the best tasting experience we have had in the area. Will be back!
I had a wonderful birthday tasting at Black Dog Vineyard back in April so I came back to celebrate my mom’s birthday in May! Stephen, tasting room manager is full of knowledge and treated us well! We brought a charcuterie board of snacks and enjoyed great wine, then we played cornhole before driving home! Highly recommend this dog friendly, fun and delicious winery! Will be back! Thanks Stephen!
We stopped at Black Dog on a bike loop through the area, and it was a worth braving the gravel road on our not-so-fat bike tires! We happened to be the only guests at that time, so got to enjoy the best seats in the house (on the front patio, facing the vineyard). It’s a lovely setting, very peaceful and so quiet because you’re off the main road. A very unpretentious winery. It was a pleasure to learn about the wines from Steve, who is lovely and kindly let us try a few extra estate wines, though they were not on our tasting flight. We left with three bottles (the 2021 Pinot Noir is the one I’m most excited for). Thanks for hosting us Steve!
Fun place. Will be back in summer
I rated food at 5 stars because it’s one of the few wineries in that area with several other wines besides Pinot Noir and Chardonnay
