A must visit in the Willamette Valley! Our host Nick was so knowledgeable of the viniculture of the area which really helped guide the rest of our visit in the valley. It’s great to try wines from different vintners in the same seating so you can focus on the kinds of wine you like best. Their facility is gorgeous and the newly built patio has to be seen in person to truly be appreciated. We were able to purchase some library wines even back to 2010 that would be impossible to find elsewhere. The cheese and charcuterie selections were vast and delicious. I can’t say enough good things about this place.
The Carlton Wine Studio was such a great way to explore a variety of different winemakers and vintages! The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and our tasting experience was wonderful.
Loved all of our wines thanks Nick for the flights hope to see you on 30a ?
Loved our time here. We unexpectedly stumbled down from the winery up the street and were all so pleasantly surprised. Lovely space and lovely employees. Highlight of our girls trip.
We had a wonderful tasting at Carlton Winemakers Studio. Ian, our host, was super knowledgeable and gracious with his time teaching us about each pour. Couldn’t recommend stopping here more highly for a unique tasting experience in Willamette.
We enjoyed tasting 5 wines: two whites, a rose, and two reds, each by a different maker. Eleanor presented all with helpful descriptions of the wine and the "lineage" of the winemakers.
Crackers and a wedge of Macengo were excellent complements.
We sat on their new (still under construction) patio. It provides a cozy ambience that will be even better when complete.
So slow ?
Everything is good about this place.
Awesome place, recommend by one of our winery tasting guides. Unique to try from a bunch of small producers from the area - co-op of shared equipment for some. Guides here were thoughtful and shared lots of info on the wines, and let you request if anything might be open or able to be tried from the bottle list. Must’ve been 40+ options and not all just Pinot.
Had done brief review a few years back. Today, my friend and owner of A Vineyard Wine Tour, visited for her first time at CWS. Nick is AMAZING with his vast valley and even international knowledge. I have to say everyone that works there is awesome and so knowledgeable. This is where almost all of the valley wine makers got their start. Their ability to pour/customize a tasting that fits what you like, is unprecedented! If you are going to join a wine club, this is a great option with so many wine options! So unpretentious yet more information you could learn in 50 books or wine tours. I am a wine club member, even though I work in the industry, and will continue to refer anyone who is local or visiting to go here to get their "feet wet", or learn more than you can remember in two wines! Thank you!

Absolutely love this place! The variety of wine and the industry knowledge from staff made this place a must visit in Oregon wine country. The charcuterie vending machine is epic :)
The studio is a must-visit if you are ever in the valley. Wonderful staff and the wines are absolutely top notch.
Such a lovely and kind staff! Wine has always been great too with a variety of winemakers and options which I enjoy very much. You can bring snacks or they have a vending machine you can buy charcuterie items from too. No reservations needed.
Fantastic concept. Amazing experience. Served by wine makers.
My partner and I love this place. We come every time we’re in town and we are never disappointed. Some of the best wines in the world come out of this little studio and you get to experience them in the tasting room. Nick and the service team always accommodate our taste in wine and the people are great. What a gem, I’m so glad we found it!
