Such a great place in the gorge area. Always recommend! The fries and service are excellent and one of the few places open later!

We had our 65 person wedding at Gorges last month. When we were looking for a wedding venue, we wanted something easy and open that didn’t lock us into a super traditional wedding day. Gorges is, pun intended, gorgeous, and fully supported our vision for a relaxed, easy wedding day. 90% of our guests were traveling in, so the close proximity to Portland and the airport was ideal. It certainly didn’t feel like we were close to the city, though — our guests were blown away by the mountain and river views on the patio. We’re big foodies and love craft beer, and were pleased with both the quality of the food and bev and the all-inclusive packages they put together.

The star of Gorges, both as a brewery and as a wedding venue, is the owner, Travis. His kindness and transparency is a much-needed balm to the stress and confusion of wedding planning. He’s an excellent communicator and problem-solver — the issues we ran into would be resolved by the end of a conversation with him.

If you’re also looking for a beautiful, relaxed wedding venue with incredible food, in a great location, Gorges Beer Co is the venue for you.

My husband and I just got married here last week. Everything from the planning, their team, the tastings, service...anything you could think of that's part of a venue booking, they knocked straight out of the park. Travis, Kelly, and their team were sooo incredible and attentive. ALL of our guests had an incredible time + were so impressed with the service, food, drinks, and the VIEWS. This place will forever hold a special place in our hearts and all we can say is if you're in the area, please please please stop by, you won't regret it ♡

Cool space and location...unfortunately the ordering system, you must order and pay online while dinning in, is both awkward and inefficient. It eliminated us order items quickly and spontaneously from a "waitstaff" person. If you wanted additional items you had to create a new order and pay ... it's really customer unfriendly and unfortunate. The drinks and food were average... but the service, because of the online ordering process, was abysmal at best. I won't be back.

as seen in other reviews, the management replied without thinking about what the customers are critical about. Don't blame your customers, be better at solving the concerns

Wedding Review July 2024

Our experience as a couple from California having a destination wedding at Gorges Brewery using their outdoor tent venue with about 100 guests.

While there was a lot of good to say, the negatives are what we think will bring the most value to future couples. These are easily fixable issues by the management.

Day of the wedding:

-Event space & bathrooms were not cleaned prior to us setting up the morning of the wedding.

-Continuously empty water stations during a heat wave causing our guests to complain.

-The dinner buffet food trays went empty halfway through the food line and the staff had to go to the brewery to get more food in a van and drive it back to the tent. It was embarrassing for us that our guests couldn’t get food.

-Management did not tell us that the indoor brewery portion would be closed all day (Saturday) for a private event. We had guests show up early to have a beer and were turned away at the door.

-Short Staffed – they had 4 employees working our event of 100 guests. A staff member told us that two employees called out, so they were short staffed.

We do want to give a “Shout Out” to the staff working our event. They were awesome and we appreciated all their hard work.

Post Wedding:

-Travis Preece, the owner, sent us an email claiming we caused “1-2k” worth of damage and he doesn’t have our wedding insurance policy. (We emailed it to him 3 months prior in April). We addressed how we didn’t agree with most of the photos in our response. He claimed that the bride must be a liar about having wedding insurance and that we should just cut him a check for $580 and be done. We reiterated to him that the policy was already sent to him in April and that we hope to have a beer there again someday. His last response was that he found it, and he “never” wants to speak to us again.

For future couples, even though the venue and location are beautiful, the Gorges Brewery is not a 5-star venue & the owner needs to work on his professionalism.

Put my name on the waiting list and was told a 35 minute wait. Never received a call, ended up taking my buisness elsewhere.

My husband and I had our destination wedding reception here and it was the absolute best experience!! The managers were very flexible and easy to work with - they also worked really well with our wedding planner who was from out of state. They provided chairs to the off site venue and had employees manage the gate for entrance. We got SO MANY compliments on the food - everyone was saying it was hands down the best food they had ever had at a wedding. There was also ample volumes of food for everyone! The staff were so polite, helpful, and attentive. The ambiance on the upper deck was perfect for our small wedding, and they accommodated my request for a family style dinner. It was the best experience my husband and I could have asked for! Definitely consider Gorge's for your next event or wedding!!

Good beer, nice hamburger and fries. The worst falafal, and no one checked if we are ok, so we couldn't return it.

WARNING - CALL FIRST! Had read the reviews and from brewerfriends encouraged to visit. We’ve now showed up 4 times - each time the open sign was on and within the times show on line as open. Well - each time we discovered the closed except for a private party. SO WARNING / CALL FIRST - don't be disappointed as we have 4 times.
