Thunder Island Brewing Co

I think we got unlucky with our server. The beer was fine, and most of the food was great, but it took almost an hour for our food to come out. The server did not check on us at all to chase our food order and people came in after us but got their food before us. The Reuben, poutine, kids burger and Beet salad were excellent, but the Ranch dressing was awful, way too much dill in it, and the salmon in both the Salmon bowl and added to the Beet salad was overcooked and hard. They claimed they were training someone new. We probably would not go back.

The bowls are healthy and delicious; the soy dressing is at the bottom so you have to dig to find it. The coconut milk stout was awesome. The kitchen is a little slow during lunch rush.

Post Dog Mountain refuel! This place is great! Everyone was super satisfied. They were busy as it was a Sunday but our food came out hot and fast.

It could have been good, but everything was very cold. It sat in the window for a long time.

This place has always been good, but the last few months it really had grown into an even more beautiful space with great staff and food! Family friendly with space for the littles, bar top spaces with TVs, outdoor up and downstairs seating, and the VIEWS! Every dish I’ve had has been amazing and it’s a staple on my travels. I also love the community events they do and the extra thought to have feminine hygiene products in the bathroom! Sometimes it’s the little things that add to the already great experience!

Friendly staff and good vegetarian chili! Loved the PCT Hiker lounge section! They have cool merch and great dining spaces!

Use to love this place but the beers are so tiny now. Photo for reference - my hands are small. New glassware they have make paying $8 for a beer crazy

Thanks to the bartender that had good knowledge of beer and thanks to the other bartender that had the good knowledge of plants.

This is absolutely my favorite place to go to for family dining! The staff is super sweet and attentive, bathrooms and restaurant are both very clean, the food is delicious, they often change the menu for specials, they have an excellent kids menu, and of course a wide variety of beers on tap. The view is also spectacular. You can see the mountains and the Columbia Gorge River. They do a lot of neat community events that enrich the area and help families in need. All around a wonderful business. If you’re in the area, definitely make a point to visit Thunder Island Brewing Company!

So good. We stopped here at random off the interstate and feel like we scored. The kimchi Reuben is perfection as were the fries that came with it. The Laos Curry was very good. Servers were great. The beer is excellent and there's a beautiful view of the river.

Wasn't very busy for a Friday evening at 6:30pm. Very confusing as to who is and isn't staff unless you wait and watch. No one around to ask about seating and menus despite signs to check in with hostess.
Partner went in once we found seating outside and was able to order. Outdoor is self bussing and self pick up for food. Which is fine.
Patio has heaters and outdoor stairs to get to and there's a big tented area for seating on the ground floor without heaters. Made it easy since we had 2 dogs with us. Place looked very nice. But that's about it. And the only reason for 2 stars.
Orange chicken bowl was just typical from frozen but didn't even fill half the container, tasted fine. Ginger tofu bowl was decent but was more than half cabbage with the rest being rice and tofu.
Hot chocolate was probably the worst. Granted it was only $3. But it was water with a little hint of hot cocoa mix.

I just flew in town for the first time for the breweries and sights then randomly saw this place. Explored the menu and fell in love. Cool people, beautiful views from location and damn good beer. Get the flights(8), the deluxe burger-extra patty with fries, and i promise you that you will not be disappointed! Though you may have to be carried out in a wheelbarrow after all that but this Gem is WORTH IT! Thank you for the experience!

This place was exactly what we needed after hiking through the Columbia River Gorge all day. I got an 8 beer flight and liked every single one. Food was awesome, orange chicken was perfect and the spring rolls were excellent. Would definitely go back!
