“TL;DR — Farmhouse Coffee is a work trip discovery that turned into a regular habit — great prices, great food, and consistently warm service. The chicken pesto sandwich alone is reason enough to keep coming back.

Found this one while in town for work, and it’s been a go-to ever since. That’s the best kind of recommendation — not a hyped-up spot someone told you about, just a place you stumbled into and couldn’t stop returning to.

The price-to-quality ratio is genuinely good, which is harder to find than it should be these days. There’s also a drive-through if you’re pressed for time, and the shop is stocked with merchandise if you’re in a browsing mood between visits.

The space works well for pretty much any occasion. Catching up with someone, grabbing a quick lunch away from the desk — the vibe handles both without feeling too casual or too stiff.

The chicken pesto sandwich is the move. It’s become a non-negotiable order whenever I am in the area — the kind of menu item that makes you stop looking at the rest of the menu entirely. The service is just as consistent and friendly every single time, which is what turns a good spot into a permanent one.

“Love love love Fultanos! Fultanos in Warrenton was my first job and this location in Clatskanie does not disappoint! I had the lunch buffet and the pizza tastes the same! It's still my favorite all these years later! Way to go, I will always stop in for pizza here!”

“The Clatskanie Subway is, to put it simply, the epitome of the dining experience. As soon as I entered the gleaming glass door way, I was immediately greeted by a wonderful aroma of freshly baked bread, and fresh organic vegetables. The staff were truly of the utmost quality, as if they had been trained at a fine French bistrot. I ordered my favorite, of course, the meatball marinara. My sandwich was expertly handcrafted from the ground up as it elegantly made it's way down past the assortments of high quality meats, imported cheeses, and locally grown grown organic produce. At the end of my meatball marinara's journey, it was carefully wrapped, and tucked away into a cleverly designed insulating apparatus. Al though it would have been a pleasure to dine at this subway, and be serenaded by one of the staffs euphonious a cappella performances, I had instead decided that evening to enjoy my meatball marinara sub in the comforts of my cottage, sitting next to my fireplace, whilst reading a classic novel. I would recommend the Clatskanie Subway whole-heartedly to even the most hawkish critics. An absolute "Must do," in my book. You would be doing yourself a disservice to overlook this exquisite establishment.”
