First time yesterday,.got takeout. Hands down BEST burger AND fries I've had anywhere in a long time. The burger had so much flavor, and the fries were that delicious homemade style, not the usual frozen restaurant fries. The ranch was great too, which is a thing for me lol. -ALSO, stellar above and beyond customer service. Loved it!!
Disappointed. Visited High Tide under new ownership for lunch. I ordered fish & chips, husband oysters. My order arrived with one large piece of fish. Batter did not stick to fish, fell off when dunked in the thin tartar sauce. No salt and pepper on the table. Husband said the same about his oysters. Fries soggy, not crispy. Coleslaw okay. Did like the cranberries in the slaw. Great service.
I will start by saying that the portions have gotten smaller. That said, I don't think that is a bad thing. We both had plenty to eat; enough so that we didn't have room for desert.The quality and preparation of the food is excellent. On par with the best fish we've had at the coast.The atmosphere is casual and the staff are pleasant and efficient.This is a nice little hole in the wall place that's easy to miss if you're not looking for it.
