The staff was very friendly. Since we had reservations, we got seated quickly. Even though the food took longer to prepare, they brought us a couple appetizers “compliments of the chef” while we waited. From start to finish, we were there for two hours. The food could have used a little more seasoning, but overall a decent experience.

My wife and I love to dine out. We love Vegas style fine dining. Haven said that I'll say this we dont expect that type of quality from any restaurant outside the Las Vegas area. This restaurant failed, in my opinion. My wife loved all of her food and drinks. I ordered the filet minion (medium rare), mashed potatoes, and steamed mixed vegetables with a cocktail, the Irish old-fashioned. Cocktails were the best part of the evening. My steak was over cooked, no crust on it, no flavor at all, the mashed potatoes tasted so bland that I really didn't want to eat them, the steamed vegetables were even more bland and hard. I been cooking steaks for years now and I could have cooked a better steak and made a mashed potato dish that everyone would love, the mix vegetables could have had at least some type of flavor, a little salt or pepper perhaps, I know its steamed but come on. The desert was good. The atmosphere could use a little more quality and less recycled look. Tip for the cleaning person, please wipe down the gold wall art after each guest, there was food from the previous guest smeared on it. Seating is all tables with no booths. I give it three stars at best. Food needs more flavoring and better quality. The wedge salad ok, and the ranch is kind of gross.

Go for the happy hour! Best deal in town, on Wednesdays they offer a hamburger special with fries for $7. Go early

Special Wine Tasting Dinner with Willamette Valley Vineyards as the feature wines. Chef O'Neill does a fantastic job pairing the wines with delicious food. My wife and I always look forward to coming to Restaurant O's great dinner nights. Chef O'Neill and Staff have out done themselves as usual. Dinner was amazing.

We had a wonderful meal. I ordered a special- waygu ribeye steak. It was a bit pricey but included 2 sides. Hubby ordered beef wellington which was good, web both agreed that my ribeye was superb. We were also served 2 complimentary mini starters- salmon ceviche plus a serving of gazpacho which were both excellent. When we visit coos bay again , we'll definitely be back

We had no reservations but we're welcomed warmly. Two of us had a halibut special, one had chicken parmasean and a salad and I had linguini alle vongole. Just the best presentation and flavors of all of our meals. Sean was a superb waiter, very personable.

We had reservations, but the dining experience was disappointing. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty, it took 40 minutes to receive my glass of champagne. After waiting 30 minutes, I had to walk across the restaurant to remind the server.

We were given complimentary bread, but it was stale. After 1.5 hours, our main courses finally arrived. The puff pastry on the Wellington was undercooked, and the dish was removed from our bill as we declined to have it redone. My husband’s small side salad was served after his main course, nearly two hours into our visit, and the buttermilk ranch dressing tasted spoiled.

I ordered the lobster and asparagus risotto, but the risotto was slightly undercooked and completely missing asparagus. When I mentioned this to the server, she argued that I hadn’t ordered asparagus—despite the dish being named "lobster and asparagus risotto" on the menu. I’ve had this dish before, so I know it should have included asparagus.

We were offered complimentary dessert, but after such a long and frustrating experience, we just wanted to pay and leave.

Omg!!! We’re from Portland visiting for our anniversary we happen to get into their exclusive wine pairing dinne with Gil Wines. OMG is the best thing to say our waitress Patricia was amazing ; loved the experience loved the food, definitely sending my in-laws here prepaid - a Christmas gift. Chef O’Neil (+his wife <3)was incredible and the representative from Gil Winery, it was honestly the best dinner experience we’ve ever had. Definitely the highlight of our anniversary weekend in coos bay. I assume their routine menu is just as excellent as the event menu.

We did a reservation showed up and no reservations ! Restaurant no busy at all they took us to a table without nothing set up and there were another table with table cloth silverware napkins etc and told us that this would be for a reservation made, so we stayed in the table they offered, we ordered the suggested 3 course meal and my husband spaghetti bolognese, food was not to much impressed pasta under cooked, and trust me we know Al dente! At this point we should ask for utensils to eat as was not provided and napkins, the desert, cheese cake was the worst I ever eat ! No coming back for sure.

A real find in Coos Bay. World renowned Chef O'Neill has an international menu. Great pasta and French menu dishes. I started with the Ceasar salad. A unique take with anchovies and chipped recording. Main dish, I had the paperdelle with a gogonzola cream sauce. I added wild shrimp to the dish. Fantastic, rich yet delicate.
My partner had the salmon. Perfection on a bed of fresh, perfectly cooked mixed vegetables. Her side of bok choy was a sensation of light hoisen sauce on perfectly fried baby bok choy leaves.
The desert of three creme brulase mini dishes. Bourbon, cherry, and straight. So rich and creamy, you'd think you were tasting a piece of heaven.

First off, the food was amazing. But I have no idea why dinner took so long. We were seated at 6:30, appetizers and wine order were taken at 6:45 and served at 7:05. But then it was ANOTHER HOUR before dinner was served just after 8. The server was apologetic and offered complimentary dessert, which was ordered at 8:40, and then not served until 9:10. All around weird and slow. Delicious food though. Ordered salmon, chicken parmigiana, spicy Italian pasta, and the rack of lamb.

This was our first visit to the restaurant. Our only regret is that we waited so long. It was the best meal that we have had in Coos county in years. Would most definitely recommend.
