Hadn’t been back here in years and was happy to discover that it’s still so good. The Tartare is one of my most favorites ever. John at the bar is wonderful too and everything is very consistently delicious and well priced.

Probably the best place to eat in Corvallis that I’ve been to, on my work trips. Upscale atmosphere, delicious food and drinks and service to match. Highly recommend to those looking for a higher end meal and service. The brussel sprouts with pork belly is so good I could eat it for every meal!

Went with a large group for a work dinner. Service was great to support us.There was only 1 vegetarian option and I think both seafood options had meat included, but they were able to make my dish without the ham.

The steak is good, like seriously good. For a steak it also isn't out ravenous, but you don't get a whole lot besides it. The ambience is excellent, one of the most well put together resultants in Corvallis. I recommend Castor for any special events, on point.

I was in for dinner a few weeks ago with my family. The food was delicious but took awhile. It did seem busy but we were in the back area. The server Danny was apologetic and hilarious. My dad was a winemaker and they had a lot to talk about. Overall food was good, cocktails delicious, and service amazing.

Tonight was date night for the first time with my husband since we had our baby; needless to say, we were looking forward to the time to spend together and enjoy a good meal. Castor met the mark with food but left us sorely disappointed in the level of service — or lack thereof — that we received from Danielle G. We’d like to come back for the food but will look to sit with any other server. The hosts and runners were great.

A few friends and I came here. The host had told us when we got there that we’d have to sit at the bar because all of their tables were full. However, this was not the case. There were many tables that were unoccupied, yet we may have not been dressed “classy” enough so they singled us out to sit at the bar.After asking hosts why we couldn’t get a table they told us that they were fully booked yet they encourage walk ins on their website. A bit odd. I ordered the sliders with french fries, my server had never entered in my fries. Overall, if you are a college student just looking to have a nice bite to eat with your friends and vibe I wouldn’t come here, seems like it is limited to a boujee and judgmental atmosphere.
Their medium rare steaks are awesome! The sides that came with the steaks were tasty too.

Eating here was such a treat. The food was by far the best I’ve had in Corvallis. Castor’s menu has been carefully curated, with each entree incorporating tasteful ingredients that I never imagined would pair well. I will be dreaming of the scallops I had here for a while.
