The atmosphere here is fun! All the books were so cool. I appreciated the kind and swift service as well. The Belgian meatballs were tender, the greens fresh, and the frites mouth watering. What a great way to spend a few hours with my son. Side note: bathroom is immaculate.

A tough review as we had been looking forward to this place for a while now. We arrived around 6 PM and the place was packed, so we sat at the bar and were immediately offered drinks. OK, so they were out of my first choice beer but my second was still great. So far so good, but we were then warned that a very large group just placed their food order, so it would be a bit longer than normal. When we did get our food (it did not take as long as feared), it was with mixed reaction. My wife’s Call Me Bechamel crepe was a bit cold. The side salad was obviously a purchased tub from the Safeway down the street and the lemon garlic dressing was so overpowering that it covered up the textures of the delicate crepe (which at right temp would have been amazing). My Croque Monsieur Sandwich was much better, warm and tasty served with tangy paprika chips. Very good indeed.
The atmosphere is quite nice, cozy and friendly. Not too loud and the bartender was always positive and answer our questions about some of the more unusual items available on the menu. Bottom line, we will give this another shot and hope this was an off-night due to that large party and their timing was off. Maybe stick with the Belgian standards like “frites” (fries) with mayo and a Belgian beer?

Came in on a rainy day and this was a cozy fun place to hang out and eat while it rained outside.
Food was pretty good, really liked the brie on the bread the most out of the stuff we got. The carmel sauce was also pretty good that came with apples.
Place was cozy and chill. Felt nice just hang out there. Lots of books if you want to read and lots of nice places to sit.
The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
Also minus the graffiti on the stall walls. the bathroom was very clean and nice looking.

Wow. This place is AMAZING. I so wish it was closer to our house. We found it googling places to go to lunch heading home from Newport. We started out with housemade caramel and apples. Yum. Then we had melted brie on super mega soft baguette. Super yum. Then out came the massive chicken, brie, and apple crepe. We also had to try a Belgium beer, of course. There's a fireplace, there's a large assortment of games to play and books to read, there's friendly and attentive servers, and there's a cool atmosphere. You do not want to miss out on trying this place! We will definitely be back next time we're leaving Newport.

Atmosphere is off the charts. I wish I could give it more than five stars. The food is also incredible, very filling and comforting. I’m glad they added warm drinks to the menu! Overall the coziest little place.

Food was incredible and so was the drink selection. There was a large gap in the amount of time we were sat and came back to take our order. They addressed the mistake and made up for it. We would come back.

I have been here before and enjoyed the food and service. This day I looked forward to the easy going atmosphere and some good food. I ordered a ceasar salad with chicken and a type of espresso hazelnut, with vodka drink. The drink was great, and mostly dark meat was yummy! The lettuce was a little brown and not very crunchy or fresh. That was not what I have experienced, so I mentioned this, as well as nobody coming to check with me at all after serving my food. I hope to go back, but not happy about the response I got when I mentioned my concerns, like it was not their worry:(

We were very disappointed. We checked the website prior to going to make sure they were open only to find the the restaurant closed. We ended up going next door for tacos. The service there was great, the food was not our style.
All of the dishes we had were really good. The beer selection was nice as well. Friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely incredible food! Large portions, so great value for your money! The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating to those with food allergies and are VERY helpful in making sure that no cross contamination occurs with special items. Superior Belgian style bier (not beer...) menu, wonderful mixed drinks, and plenty for the kids, as well!
