We ended up at Brass Monkey because the place we planned was close. We are Very Happy it was. We enjoyed all aspects. Drinks were spot on, food delicious, customer service friendly and quirky atmosphere. Kept me food safe to boot.

We had a big group so I can talk about a few dishes. The food and service are absolutely fabulous. I was having such a great time, I forgot to take pics of the food. The Nachos were so good, and so much we took some home. The pulled pork sandwich was perfectly seasoned and the homemade chips were a little spicy, making them a perfect combo. The Chicken sandwich was crispy and flavorful and juicy. We had truffle fries as an appetizer and the portion was generous and the fries were delicious. We had the chocolate brulee for dessert and everyone loved it. For context about the wonderful and kind service, one of us has a disability and they made sure we could use a cup and straw for the person that works better than a glass and they cut the food up, making sure it was easier to eat. I would tell anyone to go here and you will get a great meal and be served very well.

Dietary restrictions: One of us has a disability and they made sure drinking was easier by giving us a different glass and they cut the food so the person could take small bites.

Parking: Street parking was free.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to move the wheelchair to the table and large bathroom.

Five stars for excellent food, nice people working there, and cozy atmosphere. The best chicken sandwich I've ever had, and the food in general is very good. Nice drinks also. Nice mellow lighting and music at a low enough volume that you don't have to raise your voice to talk over it. They could use an extra person behind the bar. Every time we've been in the bar tender is also taking orders and ringing people up. If it's busy that means you don't get another drink without waiting in line for 15 minutes. And don't keep an open tab because you'll be waiting in line another 15 minutes to close it out. We just try to go during non-busy times!

Came here for a late night dinner with my boyfriend. We looked at the menu and decided we would sit and eat. We each ordered a shrimp poboy which came with a salad or chips, but they were out of chips. We asked the lady if we could get a caprese side salad with an upcharge and we're immediately shot down with a rude "no" but felt more like "why would you even ask?" No biggie.
We ask them to clean our table before sitting, which has clearly been left dirty for some time. Lady cleans it but seems annoyed by us even asking.
Sit down and wait for our food. The same server/bartender sat at the POS the entire time talking with someone at the bar. Got up to ask for a mojito- they said we don't have any fresh mint. I ask if they have any herbs at all because I wanted something refreshing. She says no and doesn't offer me anything else. By this point, I'm starting to feel more and more annoyed by the service. Finally get our food. It's literally 1.5 shrimp on a baguette that's been cut into sliders. Not a poboy baguette sandwich. There's barely any Chipotle aioli, and the bread is only lightly grilled on the inside instead of toasted, like the menu states. We payed $17 for a crappy sandwich and ended up getting more food to satiate us. The way they treated us felt like it was a chore for us to be there while their establishment wouldn't be open without business. Between the terrible and rude service to the food- don't go here.

Went out with my girlfriend for a late night dinner date and we had heard good things about this place so we thought we'd give it a shot. We got the shrimp po boy and we were excited to try it, however the description was more detailed than the food presented. On the whole sandwich we each got 3 shrimp, a couple strands of red onion and a pickle on each of what I'd call sliders since they cut the sandwich in half. The taste was okay but the amount of the chipotle aioli was little lack luster so we got extra on the side and that made it better. The side salad was okay nothing to really write home about. Overall not all that good and definitely not worth $17 per sandwich...

If you have not tried the tuna poke bowl, the Brass Monkey makes the best in the west. Served with white rice and greens with the drizzle over the top that is outstanding.

Wandered in looking for dinner in the area while moving my daughter into school. Order at the bar and they bring it out to you. Very good drinks and food! Relaxed atmosphere, nice outdoor sitting area. Nice pub with solid food and drinks. We liked it so much we went back 2 nights later.

I've visited here a few times. Nothing really stood out as far as food goes, but the cocktails are done well. If you go when it's busy you might be waiting a while to order since everyone orders from one place at the bar. I went and left one time because there was a line out the door and I just wanted some wings. I went back several times July and they were closed for cleaning. I finally got the wings I wanted and wasn't impressed.

I'd recommend going for a cocktail and checking out the cool decor.

I’ve been here many times and have had okay experiences. Today while watching the local jam band, we were met with hostility from the owner to the point that she crossed the road to say something to us even though she hadn’t a clue with what was happening. Short story: we had our food -nearly two hundred dollars worth- no alcohol, and had ice cream from next door afterwords (which many children were doing at tables near us). During ice cream my son was suffering a medical emergency so my husband brought him over to the tables away from the music so he could evaluate and see what needed to be done. At this time, my mother cleaned up the table, put ice cream on plates and left to switch places with my husband so he could help me get the bikes. We were actually not done with the table because we had a few things we needed to get, but while walking our bikes back to our son, we were met by the owner across from the restaurant getting rude and hostile that we left the icecream on the dirty plates, and root beer bottles for her waitstaff to clean up. Anyways, I was so taken back by this interaction because our family is so respectful of restaurants, staff and the cleaning up after ourselves, that to be shamed in front people about being dirty was so in accurate and upsetting to us on many levels. As someone who dines out very regularly with our family at restaurants we have never been met with this kind of unprofessional from any establishment (we live at taco vino, and other great places)- NEVER ever had we been scrutinized about our cleanliness'. This restaurant has lost my respect. Also, I hope you’re reading this lady, but your bartender and yourself could use a lesson in kindness, respect, professionalism, and some business/customer etiquette- hell, maybe some friendly smiles as well. Maybe she had to many whiskey shots so she was able xtra spicy- who knows!

We had the dry rubbed chicken nachos - they nailed it. The half order of truffle fries were delicious, the sauce is off the hook. And my cocktail of choice was a gin specialty named Rosemary’s Baby … perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. My kiddo enjoyed the “if you like Pina Colada” mocktail…
