If you're part of the Gambler 500 community, this is your watering hole. Matt is a generous and articulate host with capable, competent and witty bartenders and a rugged yet intimate atmosphere. Gambler or no, you owe it to yourself to stop in for a bite and a beer. You won't find a better bar this side of the John Day.

We were In the tavern for a half hour without any acknowledgment from any employee, even made eye contact with a server. It wasn’t overly busy at all and most everyone looked taken care of if not about to leave and we just sat there waiting and waiting. When you go to an establishment you’d like to be acknowledged. We get it, it was busy, but a simple, “I’ll be right with you” would have been nice. We waited for over a half hour for something, but got nothing. It used to be a good place to go to get a bite and a drink but when it becomes consistent like this it’s unfortunate
The burger was perfect, the chicken sandwich was perfectly cooked, the cocktails were tasty, the atmosphere was laid back and the staff is friendly. Don’t be in a hurry when you stop here, but know the wait is SO worth it.
