“Quiet "locals only" feel dinner. Great place to get a bite if you're heading up or down highway 97.Building has an awesome lodge feel. Wish I knew the history of it, but I couldn't find anything.Great food, delicious friends, and great service.”
“I had fish and chips, my husband had gizzards. Both dishes were good. It was Veterans Day so they have my husband extra gizzards, he is a vet. The atmosphere is always relaxing. We even got free fried cauliflower. It was really good to.”
“Cutest little roadside stand with the BEST coffee!! The gal that operates it is super friendly and has mad drink skills. No matter what you order, you won't be disappointed. I'm pretty picky when it comes to my coffee and she absolutely slayed it. Muffins are HUGE and satisfying. We stopped on the way down to California and again on our way back home to Washington. Thank you for your kindness. ❤️”
“I just moved to Gilchrist and my aunt and uncle stopped by to see the new place and we ended up down at Ponderosa Bakery and Cafe. The menu isn’t extensive but it is exactly what I expected: a couple breakfast options until 11 and a couple sandwich options and a soup. The sandwich I order was on fresh baked bread which was delicious and soft with just the right amount of crust. But I doubt people choose Ponderosa Bakery and cafe for their savory menu because as you order and eat your lunch you get to watch all the dessert/pastry choices being put into the display case! I chose a raspberry crisscross warmed up with homemade whipped cream on top and it was delicious. Can’t wait to bring my other family here to try a dessert as well!”
