“Entering the establishment was like stepping back in time. We all loved the old building, the period antiques and the old West ambiance. We came here with a group. We started with appetizers . They were calamari, potato skins and stuffed mushrooms. Most of us had the rib eye steak and assorted sides including baked beans, seasonal vegetables,fries, baked potatoes and salad. We had various beverages including cocktails, beer, wine and iced tea. Our server was very friendly and helpful. There were no complaints! Everything was perfect. The steaks were grilled to perfection and the sides were great. This was the first time we have been here and it was a lovely experience.”

“We had the most amazing experience here! It’s definitely our new favorite Bend hotspot. First of all, kudos to server Alex for the recommendation, and for going above and beyond his job! Alex was cheerful, engaging, informative, and gave us perfect tips for both drinks and eats. He was so pleasant, has a wonderful smile, and made his feel so special! He even put a birthday candle on our beignet order! Besides Alex’s amazing service, our beer was delicious, the food incredible, and the patio a perfect location for an overall enjoyable evening. Oh my goodness, the hummus was to die for! Perfect with our beer flights. It tops everywhere else we ate over our weekend visit, and will be the first place we go on our next trip to Bend. We highly recommend Monkless, and think you’re very fortunate to have such a wonderful employee as Alex, who made our experience there five star!!”

“Best outside, dog friendly seating in town. vast menu to satisfy a large group of different pallette preferences. Servers there are attentive, kind and rock it out so well with such a busy establishment. No wonder why I visit here all the time to meetup with friends. I'm NEVER disappointed when I leave and they really do have the best scones in town.”

I almost hate to give this review because I don’t want this place to get crazy busy but all of us raved about our food and cocktails, they deserve five stars. Serves a flavorful drip coffee which i paired with a citrus & ginger scone. The selection was honestly overwhelming. If i could, i would try one of everything. Mostly couples here but we found space for 5 friends to nosh before shopping. Our point of sale associate was welcoming and efficient as were all the employees we quickly found out! A great Sunday morning had by all!”

“Friday night, 6/26, our bridge group arrived promptly at 3:45 for our reservation for 15 people made online. We were told no reservation had been sent by the event table site and other dinner reservations were expected by 5:30. Nevertheless, Scott, the maître d’, recognizing our dilemma, and apologizing profusely for the mishap, asked if we could consider a compromise-the private dining room, two long tables, and our best attempt to enjoy our drinks and meals up until 5:30, which received a resounding “Yes!” We were not disappointed by any means-Scott and our server, Tristan, provided excellent, personalized attention and we all enjoyed a marvelous array of appetizers, cocktails, and amazing sourdough crust pizzas. You must try the whirling dervish small bites and the roasted olives! Thank you, Scott, for going so far above the norm! My husband and I will return for our own romantic date night, for certain!”

“Because of a gluten allergy I am always nervous trying a new place to dine. Manzanita recommended a burrito bowl and it was the best I’ve ever eaten. I had the Al Pastor bowl. The meat was tender and perfectly spiced with a slow heat that lingered on the palate. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. The avocado was luscious. The bowl included a seasoned rice and black beans. The portion was huge. I would 100% recommend!!”

The best part of this is I can go to a place in the morning or in the afternoon and get a delightful coffee (tons of flavor choices) or some really good food and it never dissapoints any time I've been there. The dynamic duo that runs the place put their love and flare into everything they serve out that window. It's a must go. Experience it at least once in your life. “They are the best!!! Perfectly creative drinks, we had the cucumber & wine freeze! I had the chicken bowl and my husband had the falafel bowl. Both were better than anything I can make at home. They are doing such an over the top job with all that has come their way this year. They are exceeding all the Covid restrictions. I’m so impressed with the owner, she is doing all the jobs and still has time to say hi and by to everyone! We are definitely going back again and again.”

“We are so happy we stopped here during our short time in Bend. The sandwiches were exactly what we needed after a day of hiking. They were huge portions and super delicious. There are so many beer/cider/seltzer/cocktail options as well- it was hard to decide on a drink. We sat inside because of the rain, but it seemed like the outside area was the place to be!!! Would have loved to stay longer and enjoy more beer/the outdoors! Service was attentive, kind, and friendly as well. Highly recommend!”
