Hauer of the Dauen Winery

Found this place driving around and seeing one of the blue wine signs... I am so glad we did! This is nothing fancy which makes this place a hidden gem. Tastings are $4 and bottles are reasonable. The lovely lady running the tasting room was knowledgeable and seemed to really care about the Amity community.Again, if you are looking for a fancy place to have wine- keep driving. If you are looking for a family opened small business, with nice people, great wine, affordable bottles, this is your place.

Fantastic small local winery with friendly and knowledgeable staff. A must go if you want to avoid the tourist dominated tasting rooms full of wine snobs. Lots of wines to taste, available for sale for a reasonable price.

Came for the Solar Eclipse 2017 event and it was amazing! Everyone from the winery we gracious hosts and made sure everyone had a good time. Thank you for hosting such a fun event.

Nice location to photograph the totality of the eclipse. The wine tasting right on the field where we experienced the eclipse was great, but couldn't have too much because had to drive back in very heavy traffic. Learned a little on wine growing/making. I wish the breakfast had few more choices and a little less chaotic. The Port-a-potties were clean. :-) I had visited the location few weeks before during 2017 Cycle Oregon Weekend Ride. All in all, a wonderful experience.
