Tidal Raves Reviews
Been going there for 15 or more years and NEVER a bad meal. Went for my spouses BD, and they missed it. Prime rib sandwich was microwaved tasting, and the Wagyu burger was average or less. Plus, sitting and eating at the bar, some strange lady came in with here dog wrapped like a baby and proceeded to sit at the bar while we ate. Not my idea of fine dining. But we'll try again. Always better than this.
Have enjoyed eating here many times but last night was a huge disappointment. I ordered the cioppino and my husband fish and chips. All I can say about the cioppino was the seafood was fresh. Other than that, it tasted like boiled fish with almost no flavor. Same with the fish and chips. Bland, too little seasoning. The waitress took our order, we waited about half hour for the food. She never checked in with us and we had to hunt her down to pay the check. Very disappointed.

Tidal Raves offers delectable and exquisite coastal dishes in a cozy, romantic, and laid-back yet upscale atmosphere. The restaurant provides spectacular views from every angle, making diners feel as though they are eating off the side of an Oregon coast cliff above the water. This view is a top reason to visit.
The food is consistently described as delicious and great. Popular dishes include crab cakes, the scallop meal, steaks, shrimp curry, and the Green Curry, which comes in a generous portion. The Diablo pasta raves features a well-seasoned sauce, and the steamed clams are buttery and garlicky. The combo Louie salad comes with a perfect amount of Dungeness and bay shrimp. Sides like the warm baguette, Seahawk bread, and calamari are also enjoyed. For dessert, the key lime pie and crème brûlée are highly recommended. While the experience is considered affordable fine dining, a minor note is that the rice can sometimes be a little dry.
Service is excellent, friendly, patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. Staff is happy to accommodate special requests, such as serving meals in courses or providing an extra side of horseradish. The restaurant offers bottle service for a corkage fee. It is advisable to make a reservation online, as walk-in waits can be long, though enjoying a drink and the view makes the time pass quickly.
