My wife and I had the rib eye steak and it was phenomenal.
This place blew my mind with the quality of the food. 10/10 recommend. The cook is an artist.

The Rose | Bar & Restaurant is a great local watering hole with plenty of atmosphere and surprisingly good food. The atmosphere is like an old western bar, with a pool table and a small area for lottery. The service is amazing, with a server who makes all the desserts and has very good recommendations. The prices are very reasonable for a full meal, and they give you quite a bit. All the condiments are free including ranch dressing. The food is generally very good and above par. Specific meals include a brisket sandwich dipped in au jus with onion rings, and fish and chips which taste delicious and fresh. Tuesday is taco Tuesday with tacos for $1.50. The drinks and drink specials are all superb. The bartenders are engaging. The restaurant is very low carb friendly and will substitute fries for coleslaw or cottage cheese. It is ADA compliant. This place is a great diversion off of the I-5, even if not heading to the coast, and a beautiful drive. It seems like only locals go there which makes it even better.
