El Nopalito Reviews
Incredible 5 stars
This was one of our favorite places visiting Eugene. Not only was it our first stop for food, but we loved every bit of it but we decided we would go back to end our trip.
We got the Carnitas, fish, Al pastor, asada tacos and a side of chips with their Guacomole.
My partner said it’s one of the best fish tacos he has ever had. My carnitas were also perfect! Not oily and very tasty. We sat outside on the cute picnic benches they have out front. It was a busy day...read full review

El Nopalito in Eugene offers authentic Mexican food with fresh, flavorful dishes and made-to-order tortillas. The family-run cart from Mexico City serves unique options like Huaraches with scrambled eggs and Carnitas, which are crispy and juicy. Customers praise the delicious quesabirria tacos and friendly service. The food is consistently fresh, hot, and tasty, with fair prices for the quality. Located in the Whittaker neighborhood across from Ninkasi's tasting room, the cart provides a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Parking is best on the street within walking distance, especially if nearby spots are full. The staff is accommodating to vegetarian needs, easily substituting mushrooms, nopales, or eggs for other proteins. Kids enjoy the food, and the staff can make substitutions to suit dietary preferences. The only minor downside is the lack of wind protection in the cart block. Overall, El Nopalito remains a popular spot for flavorful Mexican food with friendly service.
