“The chef's have an amazing understanding of the perfect balance of flavours in their food - paired with the skills for preparation and the eye for presentation, Yabai Nikkei is a joy for the senses. One of the best food carts in town, plus reasonably priced considering the quality of their ingredients and the absolutely mouthwatering dishes. You'll be blown away by their larger dishes, but you can't go wrong with the smaller items - even the Onigiri and house pickle plates have had no effort spared. The service is great as well! The outdoor or indoor seating options at Coldfire are also very enjoyable. If I could eat here every night, I would!“

“The quality and quantity of sushi here is better than many more expensive places I've been to! The nigiri especially is large and really melts in your mouth with the slightly warm rice.
Sure the "atmosphere" is lacking, but this is a takeout place. I saw 5 or 6 orders go out the door as I ate. It's cool that they let you eat in if you would like, and the service is good.

“We have been looking for a fabulous sushi restaurant since we moved to Eugene. This place is it! No sugar or added dye to rice, fresh fish, great selection, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and pretty swift service. Our new got to spot, I highly recommend it.“

“Food was pretty good. This was my first entry to sushi, but my companion was well versed. Everything we tried was pretty good. I had tempura shrimp and veggies. Quite expensive for 8 total pieces of tempura. The food was very attractive, and service was good. Why was no iced tea available?“

“Really super tasty. Onigiri resembles a kind of sushi. But bigger. And they already add soy sauce and herbs over it. The herbs are added, giving it a nice crispy shortness. They cost about $7 each. If you're a good eater, you'll have three. But one for lunch is also delicious.“

“Seriously. So. Good! I have been wanting to try this cart for a while, the photos always look delicious. Well I can now confirm, it’s even better than in looks. We ordered via Grubhub for delivery. It arrived quickly and the hot items were nice and hot. I really wanted to try a few things so we got the miso soup, the seared salmon sushi balls(YUM!), a salmon sushi donut, the golden shrimp bowl (extra YUM!) and the salmon bowl. Everything was so fresh, the portions were great and everything was so flavorful and delicious. We are stuffed and satisfied and we will definitely be ordering again soon! 10/10“

“Lunch time. We were a couple of hungry men. My nephew ordered Teriyaki Beef. I ordered the Chicken. A good choice, I think. Hot food. Freshly prepared cooks and in our hands. Best prices in this Mall eatery area. Nice flavor. Plenty of food. We were good to go.

“The food was not only beautifully presented, but equally as delicious! The interior gives you a cozy feeling and lovely decorated. I would definitely recommend this gem of a family restaurant. Also, probably the best sushi in town.“

“My brother and I love coming in on a regular basis. We ride our bikes there and lock them up outside. We have a certain table that gives us a good view of our bikes. Bonus for Eugene. The service is always prompt and genuinely friendly and attentive. My favorite roll is the Black Widow. Its a Spider roll that is a culinary masterpiece...wow its that good. My brother likes the Chicken Bento very very much. See you soon!!“

“Very nice, food and service is fantastic! I have driven past this place for years without considering to eat here! Today I decided to give them a try! I expected a run of the mill restaurant, I was blown away at how nice this place is! Everything from the table to the restroom is very fancy and clean, and the food was just amazing! The outside look of the building is deceptive, the inside is a pleasant surprise! Will be going back often!“

“If you wanna get a nice meal at affordable price, this is the place for you. However, dining experience is pretty limited because it becomes that they should focus more on delievery or pick up orders. (I guess this is affected by the location, too, because it is next to a grocery store.)“

“Came here tonight, last minute, for a late dinner with my wife. Pleasantly surprised, highly recommend. They have an amazing menu and everything we had was delicious. Some folks say the miso soup was bland, but we had ours with some spicy mustard and all of the flavors were balanced. Can't go wrong...
