A friend and I ate here for lunch on Monday. It was frankly horrible. I ordered the rice bowl and I asked later for the side of prawns which were charcoaled black dry and horrible. The prawns added 8$ to the rice bowl price =19 $ or so. I did complain to the server which didn’t receive much response. 48 hours later, I came down with terrible stomach cramps and nausea, which tells me I’m not gonna eat in there ever again
9/28/23 - We have dinned at Johnny Oceans since they have opened in Eugene, OR. Tonight was our last time. Food was very good, service was very good, atmosphere was nice and clean.
Our disappointment came with our bill. Johnny Ocean's is now adding ex-stream up charges to there main entrees. When you order your special or a burger, they ask what protein or meat choice you want. We ate here last night, and it was amazing!
Everything about this little hidden gem from the very expansive menu to accommodate everyone in your party, the adorable little tropical vibe, to the fantastic waitress we had was just so wonderful. I think she was the only one running the entire floor, and she kicked butt. This gal needs a raise, and hoping she will be there in the future.
