We had a reservation at Sabai on Friday Feb 6th. We love the place. They called and cancelled our reservation, telling us that their payments vendor experienced a cyberattack and they had no way of honoring the reservation. That's a little funny to me--they could have asked for cash and exact change, for instance, and kept track that way--but so it goes. Did anyone else have this experience? Or was it just something they said to us because they had overbooked?
Sabai is known and enjoyed by friends. So we met there with them, around 4 in the afternoon on a weekday. Still, It was crowded and noisy. After being seated, our waitress informed us that we would have a ninety minute limit, after which we would have to leave ! I've never had this happen before, anywhere ! Some like it hot: we ordered chicken wings with the mildest of sauces. Yet, it burned our mouths and was simply inedible. We took them home and boiled them. I just read another...read full review
