This restaurant should be on everyone's "special dinner" list in Eugene. Our server was excellent and funny, and the $$ was reasonable for the quality you get. My date and I shared a rock fish cake appetizer. It was cooked perfectly, with a crispy outside and the fish was perfect - fresh and tasty. Better than any crab cake I've had in recent memory. Very good coffee is served here. My friends who got paper straws for some reason with their coffee's were vexed when the straws disintegrated in their coffee. Change is hard for some people. You don't need straws to drink coffee.

Good coffee and tea. Good soups and salads and sandwiches and pastries too. Inside and patio outside are mostly quiet and comfortable. Service is a bit slow, but nice polite servers.
