The food and service was good, I've ate alot of sashimi and this was good, not amazing but good. My issue was when I went into the bathroom, toilet brush on the ground next to the toilet covered in nasty broken up paper from the toilet and all around it. Light switch looks like has not been cleaned in a very long time, covered in black. Food was food but management needs to do better at cleanliness.

This place is dirty. You can see into the kitchen area by the bathrooms through a curtain at the end of the hall and see this place needs some serious cleaning. The water in the women’s bathroom came out SCOLDING hot, the sink was not working properly to allow any cold water. I’m not sure how anyone, workers or patrons, are washing their hands in this establishment.

I recently visited Umiya Sushi and found the overall experience to be quite average. The food quality was decent but nothing special, and for the price, I expected more freshness and flavor. The menu seemed a bit overpriced compared to similar sushi restaurants in the area. Service was acceptable — the staff were polite and our food arrived in a reasonable time — but it didn’t particularly stand out. Overall, it was not a bad meal, but nothing that would make me want to return. Given the price and average quality, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Ordered sushi rolls for delivery a few times now, consistently great! We live ~20 minutes away. The crunch rolls match the expected size and presentation, the restaurant uses firm clear containers, provided chopsticks and napkins, and the containers included ginger and wasabi.

This experience was great! Had amazing service and amazing food. Be ware that this is a place frequently visited by families so if you are not in the mood for the things that often come with dining in a small establishment alongside young children, maybe don't! But I could not recommend enough!

Tried something new and should have thought twice. The restaurant was dead, maybe 3 tables occupied. One waiter who took 15min to take our drinks order. We ordered a bento box and a rainbow roll. $50!!!! Should have been a warning when most of the rolls are California Rolls with something else on the top. Sesame seeds on everything!?! Sorry Umiya, but that was no better than Safeway sushi. One and done.

Terrible customer service and micro aggression towards Asian customers, which is insane for an Japanese restaurant. A white couple walked in later than me got their order put in & drinks served, while I didn’t even get a cup of water during the whole time. Tried to ask the employee but was completely ignored. Ended up leaving this place without ordering anything
My husband and I dined at the restaurant this eve. He is a sushi lover and missed the great sushi in San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Sacramento. We gave this restaurant a try and he really liked it! He ordered the caterpillar sushi, the rainbow sushi and the spiced tuna. He was happy with the freshness and taste of his meal. I, not a sushi lover, ordered a teriyaki chicken entree that came with rice and salad. It was pretty good. I would have liked a salad that had other ingredients than plain lettuce and dressing. The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant and the service was fine. I asked my guy to grade his experience and his reply was a B+. Mine was a B. So, we will definitely be back!

We had the unagi, shake, rock n' roll, and hawaiian sushi rolls and everything was better than the last. Phenomal food and service, friendly staff, generous portions of ginger and wasabi, and is priced better than other sushi spots in time. Will only be going here from now on.
My only regret is not ordering more unagi, it's by far the best eel I've ever had.
