All the bartenders are absolutely incredible, Audry has got to be one of the best they have. I always have a good time, I'm greeted nicely, and served quickly. This will be my go-to bar until I die or move away from the area

When I first arrived no one would serve me for like half an hour and eventually skipped over me... when I finally asked some Anorexic lady in red n black with long straight black hair told me it was because I had a dog. Then stomped on my dogs foot so... yeah not too happy with this place unless the owner gets rid of that person. I had been there for a good two hours prior to her revealing why she wouldn't serve me with zero issues even though I let go the fact I wasn't being served. To be honest I've never felt so much disrespect to me and my service dog

Chris was the friendliest and most hospitable server we had during our entire stay in Eugene. He gave us great tips about exploring the area and what to expect if we potentially move to the area. Very cool and classic pub feel. Taps were fresh. The cook came out to talk to me and accommodate for my gluten free restrictions.

I've heard stories about Max's "in the old days" from my boyfriend who was a regular there for years when he lived in town. Actually, I probably shouldn't mention any of those stories... but the Max's that I've had the delight of visiting twice now, and hopefully many more times, is lovely.It's the perfect combination of upscale dive bar that is welcoming in every way. The free popcorn gives me small town vibes, and warms my heart even more than the large pours of vodka. There's parking in the back, which is so rare for most bars and much appreciated when you're just popping in for a quick one before meeting the parents.

Great ambiance!! Great beer selection! Service was fast, bartender was lovely. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because when we sat at the bar in front of the dishwasher the stank sour sewer smell wafted into my nostrils. My spouse also smelt it & stated there's mold under the baOoaf it stunk!!! We moved to the booth behind us and then periodically would get drafts of the sewer mold smell as people walked by the bar. I probably will come Back bc it's so cute in here and a hidden gem. I hope they fix the stinky sewer smell tho
