Chris was the friendliest and most hospitable server we had during our entire stay in Eugene. He gave us great tips about exploring the area and what to expect if we potentially move to the area. Very cool and classic pub feel. Taps were fresh. The cook came out to talk to me and accommodate for my gluten free restrictions.
I've heard stories about Max's "in the old days" from my boyfriend who was a regular there for years when he lived in town. Actually, I probably shouldn't mention any of those stories... but the Max's that I've had the delight of visiting twice now, and hopefully many more times, is lovely.It's the perfect combination of upscale dive bar that is welcoming in every way.
