Got some yummy taffy
Small ice cream parlor in Florence, close to the docks, just past the religious bookstore. They also sell salt water Taffy. Many flavors to choose from, we enjoyed the chocolate peanut butter cup and chocolate Nugget ice creams. The staff was friendly and worked quickly, my only complaint is the relatively high price point for any size ice cream cone or cup.
I didn't know it was possible to have bad salt water taffy before trying it here. Just gooey sticky sugar with almost no flavor. Tourist trap - avoid.
Great place to stop for an ice cream treat and some saltwater taffy! You can't go wrong here, it's ice cream! One of our favorite stops in Old Town Florence!
You can sample whatever you like. Lots of flavors. Great ice cream, shakes, made in house ice cream
Note: they prefer cash and only accept cash tips!
lots of ice cream flavors, and good quality ice cream. i got chocolate chip cookie dough, and it had something else besides cookie dough? like chocolate caramel pieces or something. it was yummy tho!
when i went, it was pretty busy and they didn't have a line system set up so everyone was crowded and we weren't sure who was next. i think adding some stanchions to cordon off a line area would be helpful
they also have lots of taffy flavors and offer popcorn. 🍿
Tons of unique and delicious salt water taffy flavors. Fun stop. Kids loved it.
Praline and cream was below average tasted slightly like frozen yogurt, coffee caramel cookie was average, peanut butter cup was good, 50/50 chocolate vanilla fudge is good. Service was slightly below average they forgot to give a knife or spoon for my fudge and the crew behind the counter didn't exactly seem thrilled to be there. Overall an ok local ice cream experience.
My husband told me about this ice cream place. It's been around since 1978, which sound historical Handmade, old fashioned ice cream... I had such high hopes! Unfortunately, it was a bit of a let-down. The atmosphere wasn't what we expected and service and honestly, the ice cream itself wasn't very good…
They have salt water Taffy and fudge too.
Restaurantji Recommends
The guy behind the counter was very rude and very bothered by us being there. The bubble gum ice cream was clearly someone trying to make it look like bubble gum the took strawberry and put mint gum in it truly nasty and way over priced. I would not recommend this ice cream shop to anyone.
Great little ice cream shop down by the water. Really enjoyed these two local flavors: Cascade Mountain Blackberry and Oregon Trail. (I'm glad to report I didn't get dysentery or cholera from the Oregon Trail, though I did gain a strong urge to Ford the River)
I also enjoyed the classic Coca-Cola memorabilia. And this little bird decided to try and play tour guide for us from the sign.
The homemade fudge was great. Beautiful view from the deck.
Best ice cream we've ever had! Tool a large group late at night! Thanks for being open so late!
Stale taffy. The deck was filthy with nowhere to sit . Service was friendly. Please work on the basics
