Went to Novelli's and they were out fishing, so tried here for chowder. Not disappointed at all. Very good chowder. Way better than Mo's. Almost as good as Novelli's crab chowder.
The Beachcomber is a plesent place for either friends to get together for a drink or families looking for a quick bite. When you walk in it is clearly a bar. It's bar is promenent. The table games and pull tables are also obvious. They have a full bar with many beers on tap. But when you order food you will be surprised. The food is hot and fresh with big flavors. This place is like a lot of bars in OR - gotta be 21 to enter. Luckily, with a 16 yo we were allowed to sit outside. It was a little warm in the sun (but who should complain when you’ve got sun in OR in March!) The food was prepared well - though it took a while for it to come out and the help was friendly to us. This is definitely a local’s hangout in Florence - but has a genuine earthiness that we enjoyed!
