Been here many times and the fish and fries are delicious. Great coleslaw and tartar sauce which is hard to find.If you go make sure to check on the times and days they are open. We've missed it several times from websites not being updated.

Prices are high for the type of food served- it's like skippers. We sat for maybe a minute before the waitress asked if we were ready to order, and then she came back by to suggest food items more than once. I felt rushed to make a decision. The food came out pretty fast. There are restaurants that are nearby that have similar prices but significantly better food, especially better fish and chips for less cost. Overall if the prices matched the fast food type menu, I would give a better rating.

When I walked into the restaurant, I noticed the tacky, Grandma decor and did not find it charming. However, we were hungry after a long day and just needed food.The food came out and it looked good. We got two burgers and two orders of fish and chips.Everyone who ate the fish and chips started vomiting violently that night. (The only food we ate that afternoon/evening). Clearly, something happened with the fish and chips.When I called the restaurant to alert them to the situation, they yelled at me and insinuated that I was lying.You would think that people who serve food would want that kind of information but they did not.I was mortified by their response after how much we spent there to have basic food and food poisoning. It totally ruined our family getaway.Even without the food poisoning, I wasn’t happy with the restaurant and the pricing.Also, when I called to speak to the manager “he wasn’t there and he’d be back Monday” until I said the food made me sick. Suddenly he was. There and also they’re closed Mondays. Bad customer service.

Decor can be best described as grandma core, perhaps. Lots of seating options, bright, cheery. Service was good, friendly. Food was not so great and kind of spendy for what we got. If you go, know that it's pretty much all fried food. Think bar food in a diner.Kid-friendliness: No kids menú, but they were very nice to our kiddo

My wife, a friend and I were in Garibaldi. This place was open for lunch. The restaurant was fairly funky inside, albeit clean. The restaurant had a mixture of tables, booths and a long counter with backless stools. We chose a booth.The efficient waitress immediately showed up and we ordered. We had a shrimp salad, a burger, and a clam strip basket. According to my informants, the shrimp salad was very flavorful and the burger was the best tasting they had had in years. My clam strips had excellent flavor, however, about 40% were tough and hard to bite through while 60% were tender. The basket came with the best French Fries I've had in 2023 - very crispy on the outside, hot and soft on the inside. The basket came with an acceptable tartar sauce and some creamy coleslaw. The total bill was $47 and change. Even with a 20% tip, that came out to less than 20 dollars per person, which is normal in these post covid times. Based on our experience I can totally recommend this place.

There were 8 of us and the place was fairly busy, they seated us right away, and service was quick. They all worked as a team and delivered excellent food. We had Halibut and prawns and chowder! The 2 non fish eaters had burgers that were also very good! Definitely a great stop. Best halibut around!!

Fish and chips are great. Fresh and delicious. We tried both halibut and cod. Perfectly cooked and perfect amount of breading. Even fries tasted good. Not greasy and not burned. Service is fast. Bathrooms are clean. Outside seating is comfortable. What else to ask for.
