Mostly the girl who was helping us was extremely slow, in more ways than one. We waited 30 minutes for a few bagel sandwiches and drinks! I could have gone to a restaurant. We were the only people in there. A couple of guys came in and waited about 5 minutes before leaving without getting anything. She didn't ring in our orders right, I got under charged, my friend got over charged. Then she made me the wrong sandwich. The sandwiches are pretty good though. Simple enough to be made at home but the onion bagels are just delicous. My chai was mediocre, my friend's coffee tasted like watered down shiz.

Yummy taro bubble tea. Not as good as what I've had in California, but good for Oregon!

It is ok for the neighborhood boba joint. I missed Tea Station from Gardena, CA but this is PDX in a suburb, so I won't grade them too poorly. I had the iced milk tea with boba and it did taste of the powder, but again, this is PDX. If you're from out of town and you're used to real boba, but have a craving, I have an analogy for you: McDonalds:McMinemins::Milky Way:"Real boba"

I tried a milk green tea with boba. It was a little pricey and tasted watery. Perhaps it is because I asked for 1/2 sweet. They boba was good though! The bf ordered green tea with lychee jelly, also 1/2 sweet. The tea was bitter and the jelly/jelly syrup was very sweet. I would probably come back, just because I love milk tea so much and this place is decent.

Milky Way is at a disadvantage here. My first sip of bubble milk tea: more than 10 years ago in Hong Kong and it was bomb new and amazing. Then, I lived four years in Berkeley, CA., where Quickly has $1.49 milk tea steeped from real tea leaves and served with small pearls (slash grass jelly, taro pudding and many more)--SO worth it. And here I am paying $4 for mediocre milk tea and smoothies... too much artificial flavoring, too much ice. I... can't... accept... :(

If you want something to drink other than coffee or soda then try an iced milk tea! My favorite is taro with tapioca. I seriously drink this & only this, like it's going out of style! It's light, sweet (but not overwhelmingly sweet) & very tasty! The black tapioca balls compliment the drink so well that I highly recommend you splurge yourself & add tapioca for an extra .50 cents! Those who haven't tried milk tea before, drinking tapioca in a fat straw will take some getting used to. You'll understand once you try it! Ask for a stamp card because then your 10th drink purchase will be FREE! Who doesn't like free milk tea once in awhile?! MWTP's second location is in Eugene, OR so if you ever head that way be sure to stop for a milk tea or smoothie & remember to get stamped, too!

I always drive from Vancouver to get their green milk tea with bubble. The milk tea is the best. Bubble Bubble can not compare with their milk tea. Their bubble is Q and sweet, and they make you want more. Their vegan selection is excellent and delicious, good bagels too. Please come to Vancouver!

Clackamas creeps me out, generally, so it's nice to see a friendly, vegetarian place in the middle of it. The service was great, and they have a million vegetarian sandwiches I can't wait to try. I love their sausage egg and cheese on a bagel for breakfast, and the vegetarian chicken salad bagel sandwich for lunch. Awesome. Their bagels are wonderful, and their milk tea is even better. I will probably spend way too much money here.

I adore this place. I think the key is to order the right things... A couple years ago, our fave was the mango smoothies. Big chunks of fresh mango and of course the fun, chewy bobas. A close second was the taro smoothie. Taro is such a curious flavor, sounds really strange, but it's delish. Sweet, but not too much, and pretty in purple. Currently, I'm addicted to their original hot milk tea. You can get milk tea in many places nowadays, but it's better at Milky Way than anywhere else I know of. I've tried multiple times to get the secret to their unique flavor, but of course they don't tell. What I do know is they use high quality tea that tastes a little fruity and never bitter. And they use non-dairy creamer, which is always a plus for a sensitive tummy. Oh, and the other yummy treat here is they are full of vegetarian goodies. A must-have is the spinach bagel with soy cream cheese. Healthy and delicious, what more could you want?

So I thought I would give this place a second chance. We all deserve a second chance, right? Blah, still not good. I got an avocado smoothie with tapioca. Smoothies should have some substance. This is a bright green watery mess. Ever had watermelon juice? It's a little grainy and sweet and thin? That's what this is like. It's a sad example of the otherwise delicious and irresistible avocado smoothie. There are generous tapioca pearls, which I like, because they are chewy and make drinking an adventure. I also enjoy the notation on the cup, "Chew tapioca before swallow. Tapioca may not be appropriate for young infant." I will be sure to chew and not give tapioca to young infants, only old infants. The service was much nicer today. With a little tip, my drink cost 4.75. It's really not worth it. Sorry Milky Way, I tried to up your rating, and I'll give you one more star for the nice guy working today. But I wont be back.
