Bartender stood behind the bar watching the tv and not once did he ask what we would like to order, we finally walked up to the the bar and order our beverages thinking that would get him started. He walked over to tend to the wood stove, which was right next to our table. He didn’t even look at us or ask what we would like to order. After finishing...read full review
I couldn’t find the right tag for my review - my issue wasn’t that service was slow (I get it when that happens sometimes if an establishment is busy and/or short-staffed). It’s taken me too long to post this, but we (adult family) were in there for breakfast on Nov 6. Our waitress Uki was absolutely awesome!!! We don’t get out that way we are east coasters). Be sure to give her our kudos!!!
We love Charlie’s.

Charlie's Mountain View offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a great place to stop for apres ski after enjoying the slopes at Mt. Hood. This cozy spot is right off the road and serves fresh and tasty food, with an aroma of fire-roasted dishes filling the air. The staff is accommodating and friendly, although some guests note that the servers may not always be the most enthusiastic. The spaghetti special is delicious, and the onion rings are top-tier. Guests have praised the elk burgers and mentioned the excellent shrimp tacos, Caprese flatbread, and Caesar salad, highlighting the delicious food available for everyone at the table. The beer list is impressive, featuring a good selection of draft beers and gluten-free burger buns. With its chill vibe and classic US ski team wall art, this restaurant is a favorite spot in Government Camp. The atmosphere becomes lively on weekends, drawing a party crowd during snow season. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon or a weekend visit, Charlie's Mountain View is a hidden gem worth revisiting, offering great prices for delicious hot and creative offerings even during shoulder seasons.
