“Hands down best shawarma wrap around. Guy and his son run the food cart and both are super nice and make the food good EVERY single time. I don’t go anywhere else at Cartside when I come to eat. Don’t get me wrong the other spots are good, but this spot is just top tier. Be sure to ask for the pomegranate molasses in your wrap, this is one of the few spots that has it and will add it for you. Always makes me smile when I get this food. A must try!“

“We each had a combo plate, which were very large, we could have easily share one and gotten some appetizers. The bread was so good- it was as if foccassia and pita /or Naan bread had a baby. The link sausages and their special Chevapi had such great flavor. Buy a Gyro, Shawarma, or Saj...pick a meat or two and try them with the different sauces or additions they offer and make a grade based on that. Is this the best Gyro, Shawarma, or Saj in Portland? No. It isn't even the best of the block they are on, however, they are still very excellent. Taste and bang for your buck makes this a great stop. Do not sleep on their falafel either.“

The gyros are absolutely phenomenal, but don't miss out on the baba ghanoush and grape leaves – they are simply to die for! The baba ghanoush is creamy and flavorful, while the grape leaves are perfectly seasoned and tender.

The food is fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. With reasonable prices and top-notch service, Gyro Bistro is a must-visit.

“Of all the food carts on 3rd that sell falafel this one is my favorite. It's the cheapest by a couple bucks and it's very filling. I've eaten there three times this week. My favorite thing to do is grab a falafel wrap and walk down to pioneer courthouse square and eat it. I ask for extra sauce though because the first one was a little dry.“

I chose this establishment based on very high google reviews (5 stars) and because it's so close to where we live (5 mins). This place has gone beyond expectations! The food is amazing!
