What Thai restaurant doesn't have ginger? I also asked for an additional tea bag for my pot of tea and she refused unless I wanted to pay extra. FOR A TEA BAG! So I had weak tea and no ginger in my meal. They have fresh ginger next door at Fred Meyer ... I should have went and bought some while waiting for my order. Food was pretty but just okay. Then was charged $4 for the 2 little tiny cups of hot tea I drank.
We used to go to their NE Portland location, but it closed :(
Had to go out to Happy Valley for some errands, so decided to get takeout. The people are SO nice, and it was ready really quickly. The menu is a little different from what we’re used to, but everything was delicious! Also learned they have a ‘sister’ location on Belmont (Mai Thai) so we’ll definitely check it out soon. Happy bellies! 😊
We have loved the food & the twin sister owners alike! Both are very hospitable and deliver the best dining experience coupled with best ethnic Thai cuisine in the Tri County area.
We chose to have a very small & intimate dining for our extended family celebrating our children's engagement. We were pleasantly surprised with a professional crafted menu, delicious & well prepared spread of food with generous dessert and decorations!
Way to Go!😎

Taste of Bangkok in Happy Valley is a family-owned Thai restaurant known for its authentic and delicious cuisine. The menu features a variety of dishes, including Goong Graub, egg rolls, chicken chow mein, orange chicken, sticky mango rice, and shrimp starters. The staff is friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service. Customers consistently praise the fresh, clean flavors and the quality of dishes like pad Thai, orange chicken, curry tilapia, mango prawns, and scallops. The wings and salad roll appetizers are also highly enjoyed. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the great experience they have each time they visit. The restaurant has hired a chef from Bangkok to ensure the food tastes as authentic as possible, and the recipes are all from the owner's grandfather's collection. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining, and they have a great kid's menu that includes an entree, rice, egg rolls, and juice for a reasonable price.
